People were concerned about this very thing at the time this happened.
At least the Soviet Union/Russia had/has an incredible public transport system. (Gorgeous subway.)
CA has NONE of that. NONE. It’s so not set up for anything collective.
Trump literally JUST cancelled the *FAILED* CA high speed railway project.
Slums need their ocean view, too!
Never let a good disaster go to waste.
This was ALWAYS THE PLAN! Have no doubt of that.
The value of surviving homes just dropped 50%.
It's California.
when will politicians learn you dont BUILD low income housing... you simply build MORE housing and everyone will move up leaving the cheapest homes then available to buy... cheaply.
Anything NEW will nearly always be more expensive than something old.
Who is going to insure it ?
so the next time fire ravages the Pacific Palisades, the money damage wont be as much.
Thugs need easier access to a target rich environment
Dump a few low-income projects in there and pick up the rest of the property for a song. In ten years tear down the projects and sell to high end buyers.
Happens all the time.
He’s a good little commie
Building Soviet style apartment block housing to satisfy his nutjob base.
They purposely burned those people out to steal those homeowner’s land for their 15 minute city.
This is the worst of corruption and it is shocking how they get away with it.
I have asked this question before during the Palisades fire with Zero response…
*Is it normal outside Texas, to have a separate water supply for fire hydrants?
Or is this just a Kalifornee thing?
“40% of its units for the homeless, or individuals who have spent at least 15 days in jails, hospitals, prisons, and institutions for mental illness...”
Let them enjoy their Democrat votes, good & hard.
Yes
Like the high-speed rail boondoggle, there is every chance this will languish in early construction and the money siphoned away by fraud.
So he wants to build an ugly, crime ridden slum. How about doing that in an area that’s already ugly rather than destroying an area with natural beauty? You might as well turn the grand canyon into a landfill.
