How are the coast to coast charging stations doing?
Somebody got rich on that deal. They always do on these government contracts that never go anywhere.
They will make cute little homeless shelters.

Yep. In my neck of the woods a city picked a site for a new casino. And it was a perfect site. Easy road access, lots of parking, etc.
Then at the last minute the permit for that site was pulled. The permit was instead given to a site that had congested roads and very little parking. It turned out that the second site was owned by a big-time Democrat.
But maybe I shouldn’t complain. That second site is a real pain to get to. So I don’t bother going there.
No casino visits = lots of money saved.
That’s only 40 million per truck. Pretty good for government work.
$1.7 Billion/250 vehicles = $6.8 Million per vehicle.
Seems like a bargain to save Mother Earth.
Wonder if we can get China to agree with this kind of math.

Funny thing happened in Austin some years back. Austin desperately needed a new airport due to growth. The movers and shakers of Austin bought up much land where they would decide the location, mostly democrats. Then the Air Force sold Bergstrum Air Force Base to Austin for one dollar and this became the New Austin Airport.
