That was quite a confusing headline. (yes, I know. You didn't write it. I am not casting aspersions at you.) I was wondering if the airport was renting out their chapel space to local church groups.
It is good to have the in depth update on the police officer but it would have been nice to know how the other innocent people that got shot are doing. Not the guy who started the shooting, I don't care about him. But the regular people who were just attending service when the bullets started flying.
They deserve some sort of status besides, "not dead or maybe they are, who cares"

It sounds to me like he was going after the trooper at the airport first, then ended up at the church.
The church might have been a random place to stop and resume his shootout with the police, not a goal in and of itself is how I read it.

On my FB feed, there’s been a gun group pushing training specifically for church congregations. I personally carry my .380. Fits right in my pocket. Looking at a .22 for more capacity.
