Quantus Insights Poll Shows Plurality of Voters Open to Supporting Musk’s America Party

A poll conducted by Quantus Insights in the days leading up to Elon Musk’s announcement of his new America Party suggests that the party would attract support from a notable share of voters across partisan identities, with a plurality indicating they would consider backing it or its candidates.

The poll, which was sponsored by Trending Political News and first reported by the Miami Herald this month, surveyed 1,000 registered voters between June 30 and July 2. According to its methodology, the survey used a mixed-mode approach involving both SMS outreach and opt-in online panels. The reported margin of error is 3%.

At the time of the poll, Musk had not yet formally announced the America Party; however, he had teased it several times in the weeks leading up to the poll’s release. Voters were asked how likely they would be to support such a party or vote for its candidates if given the opportunity.

The poll’s voter profile showed a near-even partisan split among participants, with 34% identified as Republicans, 33% as Democrats, and 33% as independents. Women made up 52% of respondents, while men accounted for 48%.

Quantus found that a plurality of voters would be open to supporting the America Party, with 14% saying they would be “very likely” and another 26% saying “somewhat likely.” A combined 38% said they would not be likely to support the party, with 16% “not very likely” and 22% “not at all likely.” The remaining 22% were unsure.

Among subgroups, male Republicans were the most supportive demographic, with 67% saying they would be either very or somewhat likely to support the America Party. They were followed by male independents at 47%. Male Democrats were the least supportive, with 54% saying they would be unlikely to support the party, compared to 22% who would.

Among women, Republican women were the most favorable group, with 43% expressing support. They were followed by 37% of female independents and 21% of female Democrats. As with their male counterparts, female Democrats were the most likely group to oppose the America Party, with 48% saying they would be unlikely to support it.

In addition to questions about the America Party, the poll also asked respondents about their views on President Trump, their identity as Americans, and the values they consider most important. Full poll results from Quantum Insights are available here.

After what Trump said today I’m kinda mad.

Plenty of people hated cover-ups. And the Federal government has shown that we have a 2 teir justice system from both parties all to clearly.

The problem with 3rd parties is when someone ultimately votes and realizes the other side benefits from it they ultimately go one way or the other. That’s why 3rd parties collapse

I hope he backs away from this as I see it as fracturing the GOP. Yes, the GOP sucks right now, but a third party plays into the Democrat hands by forcing conservatives to pick between the two alternatives. I would rather see Elon back a candidate of his choice within the GOP ranks and then support him/her from that point onward.

Elon needs to research the Bull Moose Party. Republicans lost the Presidency, House, and Senate - and income taxes were enacted - just saying

There is nothing on planet earth that could induce me to vote for the Elon Musk egomania America Last Party of libertarians, greenies, and far right radicals.

“Quantus Insights Poll Shows Plurality of Voters Open to Supporting Musk’s America Party”

well, of course they’re probably “open” to it because no one has any idea what the party stands for, and each and every one can mentally project their own positions onto the party’s tabula rasa platform ...

but just wait and see what happens if the party ever gets off the ground enough to develop an actual platform that party members can agree to [catnipman laughing his arse off over that one] ...

and the American Party is gonna be even more fun than a barrel of monkeys if/when they manage to scrape up a few more fringe candidates like Yang ... [and probably many of those will be wearing actual fringed jackets] ...

[nonetheless, i foresee the American Party quickly crumbling into acrimonious sludge, unless of course Elon Musk himself writes every word of their platform, in which case the party would be the Elon Musk Party ... short of that, i predict the American Party is going to go the way of the Libertarian Party, only not as successful ...]

Who is Festivus Insights? Never heard of ‘em.

Did Elon start his own echo chamber polling outfit?

The Libertarian Party has demonstrate remarkable staying power. It's been around for over 50 years (founded in 1971).

It hasn't advanced since its first "big showing" (Ed Clark in 1980). But it hasn't retreated either. It's been in a steady state, growing just enough to replenish itself.
