Wasn’t she still married at the time of her arrest?
Steve, get a hold of yourself. If you want people to call you “a Hero”, there are better ways to get that praise. What are you doing?
She either has...or hasn’t...violated US immigration/residency/labor laws or she hasn’t. Let’s see *all* the evidence.
Of the millions of recent illegal immigrants, many of them criminals, they have to go after someone that’s been here for 47 years, has kids born here, married to an American and probably loves this country.
This is what one would call asinine, a waste of resources and doesn’t help Ices reputation.
Glad Scalise got her released.
Enough with the sad stories, everyone has had a tough time. Send her out of here. She predates the Reagan 86 amnesty and the rest that followed. I have zero pity for people who have chosen to break our laws for decades.
Kick her out.
ie; my neighbor’s mother in law, doesn’t work, but watches the grand kids - over stayed her visa - she’s not a burden on the system, or a threat. Probably a lot more like her.
That’s one thing that is unique about illegal aliens, they all come with bags of sob stories. They just didn’t bring any “due process” with them.
To be fair, I would have committed marriage fraud in to avoid being sent back to Iran in the 80’s. No sane woman wants to live under the mullahs.
Not good optics with Omar sitting in Congress.
No exceptions!
Ship her out...
Well, at least she’s too old to be named after Madonna.
To anyone that may have scalise as a rep...
Let him know that he’s been conned by a fraud -
From the info I posted in a prior thread
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4325399/posts
Looks like the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling on an immigration court order for deportation from January 19, 2001....
Looks like the family lied about a stay of deportation....
Petitioners Mandana Kashanian Milne, previously known as Mandana Kashanian McBride (“Milne”), and Mehrangiz Eghbal Pixley are aliens
whose petitions for suspension of deportation were denied and who now
face deportation. They contend that the Board of Immigration Appeals
(“BIA”) erred in denying their respective petitions....
Given the deference that we owe to the BIA’s interpretation of
statutes involving immigration matters and the cogent reasoning that it
has advanced in support of its interpretation of the stop-time rule, we
decline to substitute a different interpretation for the BIA’s, and
therefore affirm the BIA’s denial of the Petitioners’ petitions for the
suspension of deportation.

part of reason...
4 Milne was divorced from the nonimmigrant student she married
prior to 1983. She then married a U.S. citizen but we found, in
our above-said unpublished opinion, that she had admitted that it
was a marriage of convenience. After another divorce, she married
her current husband, a marriage that is uncontested as “bona fide.”
The asylum seeker had her petition denied and received a deportation notice from the immigration court.
Due process done.
WTF!
Unbelievable, scalise has basically aided and abetted a federal criminal......
I don’t have an issue with this case - let’s get rid of the worst of the worst - not some aging woman who’s been here for half a century.
