What was the expected response when on June 1, 117 Ukrainian drones attacked targets up to 2700 miles from the border with Ukraine causing $Billions in damage? Did the people behind this believe that it would result in a de-escalation in hostilities?

Neither Ukraine or Russia will be allowed to end this war.

Neither Ukraine or Russia will be allowed to end this war.

Putin wants to conquer Ukraine. Ukraine can't surrender.

Therefore they can fight for another 10 years. Easily.

“Russia’s intensifying drone war is spreading fear and eroding Ukrainian morale”

In most cases - the drones targeting the “Recruitment Centers” from which they scoop men off the streets and throw them into trenches 2 weeks later are likely quite welcome in Ukraine.

Are you kidding me? Russia INVADED Ukraine. Quit blaming the victim.

Not too many more ways to escalate. Besides, Russia targets not just military targets, but specifically civilian targets.

Sheesh...

For the Ukrainian war cheerleader BBC, this is a very GLOOMY REPORT. Something’s up, IMHO.

LOL, and the Russians blew up their own pipeline too. Russia invaded after the U.S. and the supporting west overthrew a Russia friendly Ukrainian government and the new Government starting shelling areas and people that were historically Russian. And no, I don’t like Russia but I also doesn’t like official Propoganda.

Ukraine cannot fight for ten years. Their armaments come from the West and the West will eventually tire.

That is a curious source for this gloom.

But as has been noted before, if Zelensky were to contact Lavrov and inform him of total surrender, have his troops lay down their arms, have the Russian Army enter Kiev and take over all administration of the country, and then withdraw some troops from Donbas northward as no longer needed . . . this will get reported like so:

After years of anguish and hard fighting, the Russians are finally withdrawing invading troops that were part of their full scale invasion back to Russia. The quiet on the battlefields is a great victory for NATO and all who supplied arms to drive those troops out.

I don’t think Russia cares about western Ukraine; they just need to keep their Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. Crimea is the prize they are fighting over and Europe can’t stand that Russia controls Europes needed resources by itself. Without Crimea, Russia would unravel so they will burn the world down before they surrender Crimea.

Big ships turn slow.

Once Russia began mobilizing, Ukraine is in long term trouble.

Ukraine performed impressive. But it’s a battle of David vs. Goliath that is fought over and over, every day.

Whatever tricks David had up his sleeve won’t work as well as the fight rages on. Goliath learns in this case.

Goliath has 3.5 times the population, about the same advantage in military aged males, far more GDP and PPP, far more manufacturing, far more native high tech and R&D.

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/manufacturing-by-country. Compare the two!!!

If it weren’t for our money, Intel, weapons, logistics, training, and political top cover, Ukraine would been rolled up, fast. We offset some of the advantages Russia has by floating Ukraine economically, arming the crap out of them with high tech weapons, providing critical intel... But it only goes so far.

Unless we’re willing to put boots on the ground, the true long term critical variable in this function is people/manpower. Ukraine will bleed out long before Russia.

It's a different war. Ukraine is able to stay in the fight due to drones and satellites.

You can't really mass your armies like you're Genghis Khan.

Morale is bad because I would guess people there just want this crap over and for their families to not get dragged into the front to be cannon fodder for globalists. The people who do the dying don’t get any of the big bucks grift and they can’t even vote to throw out Zelensky.

I am certainly not blaming the victim, but the Russian response was both predictable and expected. Are you arguing that there has not been an escalation in these types of despicable attacks? Call it whatever you want. Both parties involved are incredibly stupid not to allow President Trump to help them work out a deal.

Gee, perhaps Ukraine should have abandoned the attacks on Russia, and instead gotten involved in peace talks.

They were clever attacks, but all they really managed to do in the final analysis was to increase Russia's resolve, with the goal now being to eliminate the Ukrainian threat forever more.

Trump needs to stay out of it now, otherwise, it will become his war. It's a war that would quickly turn into a quagmire as well. It was an ill-advised plan to engage in a proxy war, and if you doubt that this was was not created by design, then you need something to help you see the truth. It as an easy war to avoid. All it really required was to take NATO expansion odd the table, and work towards another plan to being Ukraine into our sphere without raising Russia's insecurities.

Russia buys cannon fodder from Nepal.

Russia rents cannon fodder from North Korea.

Russia gets weapons from ... Iran!

Russia recalls WWII tanks from Indonesia.

Russia has depleted there reserve fund to pay for the war.

Corrupt Putin and the oligarchs have robbed the economy getting rich on the backs of the working.
