As aid resumes, Trump says he doesn’t know who paused U.S. arms shipments to Ukraine

President Trump said he has bigger worries than investigating who in his administration last week ordered the halt of arms to Ukraine.

The president on Monday announced the resumption of weapons sent to help Ukraine’s war with Russia, signaling that he and the Pentagon were not on the same page about arming Kyiv.

“Well, I haven’t thought about it because we’re looking at Ukraine right now and munitions, but no, I have not gone into it,” Mr. Trump said Wednesday while meeting with African leaders.

Pressed about the disconnect between the White House and the Pentagon, Mr. Trump said he would know when big decisions were made.

“I would know. If a decision was made, I will know. I’ll be the first to know. In fact, most likely, I’d give the order. But I haven’t done that yet,” he said.

Well, whoever it was, I agree with them. No more weapons should be shipped to any country unless they pay for them in cash, up front. We’re not the piggy bank of the world, but we have been for decades, and it has to stop now.

The person at the Pentagon responsible for the halt in weapons for Ukraine seems to be Elbridge Colby.

Including Israel. Why should we be supplying weapons to other countries for free? We can’t even keep our own inventory full. Does any other country send us weapons, or weapon parts for free?

The president on Monday announced the resumption of weapons sent to help Ukraine’s war with Russia, signaling that he and the Pentagon were not on the same page about arming Kyiv.

It's completely irrelevant because we don't have enough weapons to send to Ukraine, especially Patriot interceptors and missiles.

Thus, we can't scrounge up enough to make any difference.

You see folks,
I have a bigger problem with this than I do with the Epstein files. 2 days answering that presser was stupid.

And the shipments should stop. Based on the reasoning they are giving ,they never will.

I am starting to conclude they’ve nearly driven him over the edge.

He is acting like it.

All those years of hounding in court and two assassination attempts have appeared to have taken its toll.

For most Americans, the cause of Ukraine is just and worthy of support within prudential limits, with Putin as a murderous villain.

It is a cheap price to keep murderous, rampaging Russia in check.

“It is a cheap price to keep murderous, rampaging Russia in check.”

Then you pay it. Otherwise, cash up front. No loans, no giving.

He’s so murderous Biden allowed European to buy his natural gas for 3 years

Biden was the last phase of Europe's long era of delusion about their security needs. Germany (and certain corrupt leaders) thought that they could make a lush profit as the transit hub for a massive flow of Russian gas, with the Americans (as always) protecting them against any dangerous misbehavior from Russia.

Then Trump in his first term shockingly demanded that the Europeans actually meet their two per cent defense spending commitment. With Biden gone and Trump back in, the goal is a five per cent defense spending commitment. And the Europeans actually seem to be moving in that direction, even aiming to make their militaries battle worthy.

And, as it happens, Europe even seems to be curbing their oil and gas purchases from Russia. They are also starting to bicker with China over tariffs and trade, not wanting China to dump excess inventory in Europe. The French are even talking of deploying nukes in Poland as a deterrent to Putin.

Hegseth took the “fall” on this according to a report I heard this morning on CBS Mornings for Blacks.
