Those in the capital city with an observant eye may have noticed this past "Juneteenth" that the "temporary" Black Lives Matter mural around Montgomery's historic Court Square Fountain still remains for the fifth year in a row.

In June 2020, then-newly-elected Mayor Steven Reed announced that a local artist would decorate the historic landmark with a painted mural encircling the fountain.

The Court Square Fountain was once the location of a slave market in the antebellum period, and the mural was touted as a way to celebrate Juneteenth that year.

I do not care what significance this grafitti has for anyone, it is hideously ugly.

They ought to paint over it these words:

Democrats used to say, "It's not a person. It's property." Now Democrats say, "It's not a person. It's just a clump of cells."

I’m gonna kind of hijack a thread. I posted this a few days ago and it really didn’t get any traction, but if you want a lesson on how blacks think, take a look:

https://www.wkrg.com/mobile-county/burrell-battiste-drop-out-of-race-endorse-drummond-for-mayor-of-mobile/

Two of three black mayoral candidates dropped out of the race for sole purpose of electing a black mayor. Not the best mayor, not the most qualified mayor, just a black one. I know Battiste. I served with him in the Navy reserve and he started his law enforcement career about the same time I was a reserve police officer. He is intelligent, impressive, got along with everybody, and always sharp in his appearance. He is also a black supremacist, which I would have never guessed. To be honest, the realization of this was kind of a slap in the face.
