Biden’s former doctor refuses to answer questions in House Republican probe

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s former White House physician refused on Wednesday to answer questions as part of the House Republican investigation into Biden’s health in office.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor invoked his rights under the Fifth Amendment during a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee, his attorney and lawmakers said.

Republicans on the Oversight Committee subpoenaed O’Connor last month as part of a their sweeping investigation into Biden’s health and his mental fitness as president. They claim some policies carried out during Biden’s term through the use of the White House autopen may be illegitimate if it’s proven the Democrat was mentally incapacitated for some of his term.

Biden has strongly denied that he was not in a right state of mind at any point while in office, calling the claims “ridiculous and false.”

David Schertler, one of O’Connor’s lawyers, said the doctor had “no choice” but to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in testimony before the committee. Schertler cited both O’Connor’s responsibilities to protect patient privacy as a doctor and the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation into Biden’s use of the autopen.

He should say: “I told Joe Biden I am not here to diagnose, prevent or treat any disease.” And “My comments have not been approved by the Dem National Committee.”

Then he can’t be sued any more than for the TV quack remedies. Even the ones vouched for by Mike Huckabee and Bill O’Reilly.

Invoking the 5th amendment is an admission that, not only are the rumors true, but he or his lawyers think there is enough evidence to get him convicted. That’s pretty serious.

Keep the pressure on until this doctor relents. We know that creepy gropin’ pedophile slowjoe was protected so much by congressional members, aides, and media that it was downright sickening to listen to their repeated lies about slowjoe’s health was good and he was fit for the office. While he stumbled around, wandered off, acted like he will filling his pants, wearing his pajamas at press conferences. Legally he cannot discuss Biden’s medical conditions without permission from Biden. Citing the 5th may have been the only way for him to honor the Doctor-Partient Confidentiality status quo.

Now if this were a criminal investigation or court proceeding might be different but not by much, unless the Patient signs a waiver for their doctor to talk, he cannot so so even if his patient was the President of the United States.
