DOJ accuses 2 people of selling a gun to Trump's alleged would-be assassin Ryan Routh

The Department of Justice has accused two people of selling a rifle to Ryan Routh, who was charged with trying to kill President Trump at his Florida golf club last year.

Two defendants — Tina Brown Cooper and Ronnie Jay Oxendine — have pleaded guilty to gun-related charges in federal court, after being indicted in March and arrested in April. Cooper pleaded guilty to firearm trafficking on Monday, and Oxendine pleaded guilty last month to possessing an unregistered firearm after police found a short-barreled shotgun in his storage building.

In court papers filed in both cases as part of the plea agreements, the Justice Department said the two sold Routh a Chinese-made SKS rifle in August, with Cooper allegedly acting as a middleman in a sale between Routh and Oxendine. Law enforcement said Cooper worked for Oxendine at the time of the sale at a roofing company in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Federal prosecutors alleged Cooper, Routh and Oxendine met at the roofing company's headquarters, where Routh paid Oxendine $350 cash for the SKS rifle and $100 to Cooper for helping to arrange the sale.

About six weeks later, Routh was allegedly found with an SKS-style rifle outside Mr. Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach — though prosecutors did not specify if it was the same gun as the one Oxendine and Cooper allegedly sold.

Was this a legal private transaction in a state that allows that? Or was this DOJ actually finding that the gun was sold illegally? They have a track record of trying to jam up the poor SOB who sells the gun someone does something with later.

Appears that the seller knew the buyer was legally unable to own a firearm.

That’s a good question but pleading guilty usually means there’s something even worse than what they plead guilty to if found guilty.

The seller was told the buyer could not legally own a gun. Otherwise, they would’ve been in the clear. Very foolish.

But necessarily. Pleading when faced with the federal charge could just be reflections that they have trillions of dollars to go after you with. Their resources are inexhaustible. And you’re paying a lawyer by the hour. That’s like mobile plea-bargain car.

Wonder why he could not own a gun? If that’s true, If that is the case, why was he allowed to spend the night at Fort Benning over 30 times in the year before?
Lots of sketchy things in this story.

Isn’t this the guy who was recruiting fighteres for Ukraine in the Middle East? And this is as far as his accomplices/handlers go? The DoJ coverup specials continue.

Pretty sure Routh had at least one felony conviction.

You are thinking of Ft. Bragg, and it is a fake story, he didn’t.

Routh was a raving nutcase claiming to have 10s of thousands of mercenaries for South Korea and Ukraine and he was trying to get involved with other world leaders, including North Korea.

Routh never had any official anything, nothing was real, all of it was in his head with no actual connection to anything, or anyone, or any government.

It isn’t a story, it is a short summary of his crazy mentally ill world of international man of importance.

Scroll down and read his posts, the guy is totally gone, he wants to solve North Korea, fly a fighter jet to kill Putin, form Division sized numbers of Afghans to move to South Korea as soldiers, he thinks Amazon sells sniper rifles.

https://x.com/visegrad24/status/1835499461881078153

1. Writes Ukrainian presidential advisor Podolyak that he, Ryan Routh, will personally buy Poland’s MiG-29 fighter jets and then “fly them at night just above ground and hit every place Putin sleeps”

4. Writes Sean Penn with a request that Sean and Ryan but Poland’s MiG-29 fighters jets together and then go together to borrow some Patriot Missile Defense Systems at the border.
“How can they say no to you?”

6. Goes to Taiwan to offer them “50 000 Afghan soldiers”

8. Tries to write to the head of Hong Kong’s local government Carrie Lam hoping that she will make him “her private American advisor at no cost”
He believes that he and Carrie Lam can sit down with the protesting students and “find solutions”

9. Writes the Belarusian opposition during the street protests in the wake of the falsified presidential election in 2020.
Advises them to “buy sniper rifles from Amazon”

11. Writes the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council that he has 20 000 Afghan and Syrian soldiers that could come to Ukraine to fight against Russia.

What of the parents of the man who shot 3 people and killed one at the Trump rally?
They cleaned the house then left and hired lawyers affiliated with the democrat party. They are poor so how do they afford lawyers?

Huh? Who got to him?

The guy was always nuts and was always known as nuts, with 74 arrests, even with that junk rifle he bought he used electrical tape to tie a scope onto it.
