That is one interpretation.

It is not mine!

“Transparency and accountability may not be as important as US credibility and the interests of our ally Israel.”

*************

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Good analysis.

I appreciate the conundrum you stated but its hard to overstate the importance of accountability in our system. Without it there is nothing to really deter malfeasance, manipulation and corruption in our government.

Unfortunately, lack of accountability has led to a widespread lack of confidence in our governing institutions and in those who we entrust to lead them. Any organization that eschews integrity, ethical standards and accountability is not going to be successful in the long run IMO so we need to carefully weigh/consider what we are willing to give up as a nation in exchange for other considerations.

“But the mystery behind all this screams that a political class is protected through anonymity with the current blessings of the Trump Administration, and that’s not what MAGA expects.”

+1 Spot on and very well put.

This Epstein story line is complete bull.

Then, you should be able to answer the questions posed by the author.

But, you haven't done that.

Address the questions posed by the author or admit you can’t.

The fact that no politician RAT or pubbie is asking about the lost client list says it all. This is a massive coverup and Trump should let the chips fall where they may in full transparency. Pervs go to jail for abusing young girls.

The government has been lying since FDR.

Word on the street is that the client list and videotapes are in the trunk of a gold-colored 1964 Chevy Malibu.

I, too, am starting to think that Epstein had some connection to the CIA and his client "services" were part of it. Looking back in hindsight, I'm wondering how much of what we were told was technically true, but maybe misleading.

For example, the article talks about sexual activity with a 17-year-old. Is that of legal age wherever that took place? If so, that might be distasteful and awful, but not illegal. And the girl might technically be a minor ... but still not illegal to engage with sex with her (again, I have questions about the age of consent in whatever state or territory that allegedly took place).

However, I could see such events being taped and used for blackmail. Thus, the CIA type of work seems more likely. And thus, our perception when were told over and over about Epstein entertaining elites with sex with minors --- leading to us all hope that one day everyone would go to prison. But if these were with technically of legal aged adults...then no persecutions can come from it except for potential bribery charges and invasion of privacy charges (if activities were recorded) against Epstein and his workers.

The Virgin Islands litigation is worth a look.

That details young girls of a variety of different ages on “Epstein Island”.

Here is my post from another thread on that topic for the “Epstein denier” folks:

This link has more details addressing the issue of others besides Epstein abusing the girls:

https://www.vicourts.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=16814500

Let us drill a little deeper:

—Item 46 (pdf page number) on page 10 refers to “commercial sexual activity”
—Item 50 on page 10 refers to “recruited both victims and abusers”
—Items 237, 238 and 239 on page 41 refers to “prostitution” and “assignation”

In fact Count 17 of the Virgin Islands document is entitled “Prostitution and Keeping House of Prostitution” starting on page 40
—Item 247 of page 42 refers to “prostitution” and “assignation”

You can dig deeper if you wish.

At a minimum we can say that the Virgin Islands was convinced that Epstein was operating a House of Prostitution for visitors to the island.

Yes and now we have a TRUSTED source actually working there that has access to the information and we still call him out? Make it make sense

Thanks for posting. That answered my question regarding age of consent (ages like 12 are below consenting age) and that some girls were forced into it (so forget my question of things like if prostitution is legal in the Virgin Islands, forcing them into it is illegal regardless of age).

Jeffrey Epstein patently had lots of money to spend on a NY townhouse, huge New Mexico compound, his private island, jets, harem of young women, wining and dining the rich and famous, etc. Where did his money come from?

Epstein reportedly made lots of money by managing other peoples’ investment portfolios for a fee. It has always made sense to me that JE groomed potential clients with dinners, introductions to other “celebrities”, trips, girls, etc. He included some big namers just to impress and lure in others. Some clients likely signed on voluntarily. Others might have required being compromised with accelerating levels of vice before they saw the wisdom of placing money with him. A low 1% fee for portfolio management or having their sins/crimes disclosed to spouses or spread all over the tabloids is an easy choice.

To claim JE had no “client list” is Clintonian lying. He likely kept no formal list labelled “Clients being Blackmailed”. But there is no way he did not have records regarding his investment management clients, including at minimum billings, payments, statements, etc., and possibly reams of investment account data. The investment records ARE Epstein’s client list. Duh.

Some/many Epstein clients likely had no connection to anything untowards. But has the FBI interviewed every girl/woman known to have been exploited by Epstein? Then pinned down every investment client to see how the stories compare?

Verdict: Either gross incompetence or flagrant coverup, with the FBI taking over the blackmail leverage for its own use. Following Mossad instructions?

Oh, so he was trusted before when making all his claims and now that he’s changing his tune he’s still to be trusted again? You got to be kidding. Bongino got his prized government gig in the end (after failing to get elected because the people were on to him).

If we have gone down this road, we shouldn't have gone down this road.

But if we are down this road, what do we do about it now? What is in the best interests of the US right now?

I'm just trying to make sense out of how these people are acting. Clearly there is some sort of coverup going on.

The question is "why?" and also "Do we agree with it?"
