‘They attack us without provocation’: West Bank town mourns its dead after settler raid Sense of helplessness pervades Kafr Malik where IDF killed three Palestinians after locals resisted masked marauders
Julian Borger and Sufian Taha in Kafr Malik The men from Fatah arrived on Thursday morning, hours after the attack on Kafr Malik, to put out more flags along the main streets, adding bright primary colours to a mournful scene, but they did nothing to relieve the all-encompassing sense of helplessness.
Three men from this central West Bank town, one a teenager, lay dead and several others were still in hospital after an attack by about 100 Israeli settlers on Wednesday evening. The men of Kafr Malik had run to its south-western edge to form a screen against the settlers and rescue women and children trapped in a house set alight by the masked attackers.

“Their own kids are really valuable to them but other people’s kids are worthless,” said Mohammed Sabry, his eyes swollen from a night of weeping. His 18-year-old son, Lutfi, was one of the dead.
“There is no justification whatsoever to shed the blood of the Palestinian people like this,” Sabry said. “They attack us without provocation, and when the young people go to defend women and children, they are shot by the army....”

But as promised, I am making a start. Links to follow.
Oddly, a Jewish extremist group a few days later assaulted the local IDF garrison. Arrests were made.
Jewish rioters assault soldiers in Binyamin region, 9 arrested
IDF and police disperse a group of Jews who violently attacked soldiers near Kafr Malik, injuring several. Nine arrested. A similar clash occurred Wednesday in al-Mughayyir.

Two weeks before, Kafr Malik is also in the news

In Kafr Malik in the Benjamin Brigade area, tens of thousands of shekels in terror funding were confiscated. In al-Mughayyir, two terrorists who had thrown rocks at Israeli civilians were arrested. In Qalqilya, within the Ephraim Brigade area, another terrorist was arrested for throwing rocks at IDF forces during a disruption of order.
The IDF reported that the arrested suspects and seized weaponry were transferred to security forces for further investigation.
So far, I’m just scratching the surface, but didn’t want to delay any further, since the allegations are serious and I promised to look into it. It seems Kafr Malik has quite a history, as have other towns in the Benjamin/Ramallah area. I’ll be delving deeper. But this is all I have time for now.
Good. More of this. The de-colonisation of Judea and Samaria is 50 years overdue. Jordanians out!
I betcha they danced on Oct. 7th.
If true, then the IDF action is to be deplored. But I have the sense thar there is much more to this event than what the Guardian says. I do not trust the Guardian.
It’s a Labour organ. Jeremy Corbin’s pals. I don’t trust it, but I’m looking to delve into the real facts and find out what’s actually going on behind the facade. Will update.
The Guardian has all the credibility of the NY Times.
I would like to remind the “palestinians” that THEY voted for leadership that doubles as an international terrorist group. If they wish for the war to stop, then THEY need to change their leadership.
They will FINALLY have peace the very day they stop attacking Israel.
Iarael’s width at its narrowest point is 9 miles. All an invader has to do to bisect Israel is to drive to the sea 9 miles from that point. If Israel includes the West Bank, its narrowest point is 40 miles. Its encroachments on the West Bank are about defensibility, not land hunger. Russia occupied 25K square miles of Ukrainian territory by the end of the first week of its invasion. Israel’s entire land area is under 9K square miles.
The sooner the better.
I don’t care how many of those muzzie savages get killed or who kills them.

Reminding many who either don’t realize or who keep forgetting, when anyone uses the false name, “West Bank,” they are talking about Judea and Samaria . . . Israel.
I suggest “Ground News” to get news from all around the world if you want a balanced reporting of what is going on in the West Bank etc. They are unbiased and just post the stories, which is needed in researching.
Thanks.
Thanks for trying to examine this responsibly. You are examining before editorializing. I’m under no such obligation!
Given the history of the area “unprovoked” seems unlikely. Why can’t these Arab Muslims relocate someplace in the Arab world? For one thing, no one wants them. That is telling. Also, they want to stay right where they are.
People generally don’t like to relocate, but they do. Jews went to Israel. Europeans came to the Americas. Everyone, it seems, wants to come to the USA. So why are Arab Muslims so unwilling to give Israel a tiny scrap of land and sensible borders? I think the answer is that Islam is an imperialist religion. What was once ours is ours. What was never ours will be ours.
If the jihadis would stop trying to exterminate Jews in Israel and around the world, this would never be a problem.
Here’s the article that steered me towards the Guardian. It is dripping with fake news, imho.
The interim solution by the UN and the Israeli Left is for Israel to give up the Judea, Samaria, Gaza and Old Jerusalem, and also the the North District, Haifa Distict, and most of South District (leaving Eilat as a Kaliningrad-type enclave).
Israel might get an expanded width in the Tulkarm-Qalqilya slot.
That’s the interim solution. Then comes the Final Solution.

The UN can GFIS. So can the Israeli Left, and if the US gets horny for this idea, them, too. Land for Peace and the Two-State Solution have been tried, has been thoroughly discredited, and it’s thanks to that failed idea that we had the nearly two-year Gaza war and the October 7 massacre that preceded it. Some “peace”.
I heard there were 81 Palestinivermin dead...
