Ukraine targeted the Borisoglebsk airfield in Russia's Voronezh Oblast overnight on July 5, damaging a warehouse with guided bombs, aircraft, and other military assets, Ukraine's General Staff reported.
The airfield hosts Su-34, Su-35S, and Su-30SM jets thatRussia regularly uses in air strikes against Ukraine, according to the military. The strike may have destroyed a training and combat aircraft, with further assessments underway.
The NASA Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) detected a fire near the Borisoglebsk military airfield shortly after the strike. Residents in the area reported 8–10 powerful explosions around 2 a.m. local time, according to Russian independent outlet Astra.
The strike was part of a broader overnight drone campaign across Russia, with explosions and fires reported in at least six regions.

Meanwhile the Ukie front is collapsing, Kiev getting Vlad’s unprecedented missile and drone hammer….

Where is the Ukie “Ghost Of Kiev” when he is needed to shoot down Ruzzian Planes?
“Meanwhile the Ukie front is collapsing”
Again ?
Like watching a bar-room brawl between a couple of drunks...
Marioupol, Bakmut, Avdivka, next up on Vlads chopping block- Pekrovsk….after that, the flat plains to the Dniepner….slowly but surely.
That’s gonna leave a mess. On e way or another
Some comparisons: one B17 carried about 5,000 lbs of bombs. One Iskander probably as the equivalent of 1,500 lbs. One Shahed about 440 lbs.
A 100 plane B17 raid would have been around 500,000 lbs. So over 1,000 Shaheds and 330 Iskanders.
Of course they are more powerful in the sense of being guided, but the Ukrainians are not stupid enough to cluster vital defense infrastructure in one place to be struck.
And the most important supply depots for Ukraine are unreachable in Poland.
More and more slowly, especially when, like Toretsk, Russia expends thousands of men to take an objective only to have Ukraine take half of it back.
Good to see someone closely following the ground war. Once a westerner can get over the western “way of warfare”, they will realize attrition has always been Ivan’s way….Vlad will continue taking territory, no matter the cost….as we are witnessing.
Stated simply, the West has no stomach for a war of attrition….the Slavs do and always have.
Luckily for Putin, Zelenski doesn’t have any cards to play.
Aren’t Ukrainians also Slavs?
Ukraine hits military targets; Russia responds with civilian targets.
Ukraine is still alive. Send more money.
It has been collapsing for 3 1/2 years. The slowest collapse ever.
Neither you nor the Ukrainians have the capacity to conduct maneuver warfare on an operational scale.
Aren’t Ukrainians also Slavs?
———
Yes, exactly why the war is progressing the way it is. The Ukies ( Slavs) are putting up an extraordinary fight, but so too are the Russians ( Slavs).
I trained Ivan’s for three years, the West has no idea or conception of this war, they judge it by their own standards, and mostly incapable of understanding the Russian ( Slavs) way….which is why they will lose a war of attrition.
I will add the West kept saying and waiting for Vlads revenge for the Ukie strike on Russia’s strategic nuke bombers….and waited and waited…they play war different….incomprehensible to the West……here we are much later witnessing Kiev and western Ukraine getting absolutely monkey hammered, this recent Ukie hammering is how they respond to that event.
Vlad could have leveled Kiev any time he wanted, but hasn’t until now…just one “ revenge” response, expect more, each one tightening the screws. Western minds have no understanding.
