The Democrat Party is grappling with internal divisions following Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani’s upset victory in New York City’s Democrat mayoral primary election this week. Mamdani, a 33-year-old New York State Assembly member, decisively defeated disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo with 56% to 44% in the final ranked-choice voting results.
Two prominent Obama-era officials, former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew and former Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag, have publicly opposed Mamdani’s candidacy, warning that his progressive economic policies could harm New York City.

Why do the elites of the American Left oppose Mamdani?
They oppose him because he is more honest than they are. They have always fought for creeping socialism, so the population would not know the full affects of socialism immediately, else the failures of socialism will deny it popularity before it can take over everything. Their socialism is the bit by deceitful bit kind that they refuse to call socialism in any measure they support that actually is socialist. The Left has “progressed” by deceit and Mamdani upsets that.
IT would take the Donks to put up Tom Hanks to stop this Communist at this point.
Yes Hanks has an address in NYC and is currently doing Broadway and could probably manage the 12-month residence (Palisades burned although his house barely escaped, and rumor is he has been mostly in NYC since) and simply switch his voter reg to NY to eligible.
There are others the Dems could tap.

Illegal voting system as the Constitution MANDATES a state have a "REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT" - i.e a true representative government (US Const., Art. IV, Sec. 4) .
"Ranked choice voting" is not true representation and should be constitutionally banned for the U.S.
Mamdani is simply the end result from The Party of Hate and The Party of Death. The democRATS and DemoKKKrats hate America, hate freedom, hate, hate, hate.
Mamdani listened to what they have said and done for the last 50 years. He is just being honest, not couching his rhetoric in euphemisms and lies.
Sounds like some of the established Democratic Socialist Muslims in DC are jealous of an upstart in NYC making headway without their blessing?
