A person was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents inside a Baltimore courthouse, prompting a criminal investigation into a Maryland corrections employee, according to the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office.

The person was detained by two ICE agents on Tuesday, June 24, inside the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Courthouse, Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogen said.

Sheriff Cogen told WJZ an unidentified employee with the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services took it upon themselves to call ICE about someone scheduled to come to their office.

The sheriff believes that it falls out of line with their department duties.

"This was sort of like a shocking incident," Cogen said. "We never thought that we would have an employee of another state agency calling for immigration enforcement."

Cogen said they are investigating whether criminal charges are appropriate.

"They may have possessed confidential information that was shared that may be outside the scope of their duties," Cogen said.

At this point, it's unclear whether the employee who allegedly made the call to ICE is still working in the courthouse, or what happened to the person who was detained by ICE...

Beginning yesterday it might have moved up to fourth highest taxation.

The lunatic asylum they call a legislature added almost $2bb on the backs of taxpayers in the form of new taxes and fees. Thats on top of massive increases in energy bills which go into effect in July.

Doubled vehicle registration cost, $5 per tire purchase fee. (most people live within an hour of another state, Delaware has no sales tax morons) Additional income tax on high earners (who can afford to move), 3.5% additional tax on car rentals, title fee doubled, 3% “technology tax (some lunatic legislator who voted for the increase owns a tech company. He moved the company to Virginia last month because he can’t afford the fees he imposed)

There are over 330 new taxes and fees because these economic illiterates only know how to spend and have no idea of fiscal integrity.

I’m planning to retire in a couple years. I can’t wait to get out of this craphole.

I believe Maryland is about 40% black. On its way to becoming the ghetto state.
