President Trump said Sunday there is a buyer for TikTok, a week after he extended the app's ban deadline for a third time.
The big picture: Trump would not say who the buyer is while appearing on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," noting only it is "a group of wealthy people."
When pressed by host Maria Bartiromo on who the buyer is, the president said he "will tell you in about two weeks." Zoom out: The popular social media app has been in limbo for months, repeatedly coming up against a deadline to ban it from U.S.-based app stores, only for Trump — who has his own TikTok account — to extend the ban for months at a time.
The first extension came on the first day of his second term, followed by another in April when the White House thought a deal to place the app under American ownership was imminent.
Instead, China balked at the deal and forced Trump to issue a second extension of the ban.

Or it needs to be made exactly like Chinese TikTok, with strict limitations for kids limited to science and learning, and a shut off time after "bedtime".
Otherwise we are hanging ourselves with a rope we bought from China.

I’m for people reading what they want and having the critical thinking and discernment skills as they do read what they want.
But what does any of that have to do with following the law regarding TikTok?
Trump is right to delay on the enforcement of the law until he finds a deal that makes sense.
I would prefer that we'll scrap the law entirely because we're not going to have Trump in the White House forever.
And the Democrats will use this law to go after their political enemies.
Has anyone given consideration to the far that the chinese could be using BOTS and otherwise fake accounts to kiss his ass--make him "look good"--by inflating his numbers--so that he DOESN'T do anything to that execrable website?
No. Everything he does is perfect and correct. NO ONE can get one over on him. Except if they stick their head up his ass far enough, give him enough sheckels, or have the last name of Mileikowsky.

Except that the law was passed overwhelmingly by Congress and signed into law. And a challenge to the law was turned away by the USSC.
