Looks like they are preparing for an attempt at regime change in Iran.
This is so true. Remember about warnings that Israel gave years ago. Naturally, the warnings went ignored.
Sort of soft peddled the change in the IAEA assessments of IRANs program, they chose not to protect IRAN in June, and the UN knew certainly Israel would use the data point to go ape shit on IRAN, something changed.
We will someday get the signals intelligence that really started all this.

There is more to it than the nuclear program

The same Palestinians that took the plane hostage killed Israelis and took hostages again on October 7. Iran provided the means.

All this conjecture overlooks the fact that unless the entire country of Israel is obliterated by the attack, they will retaliate in kind, and Israel has probably 80 nuclear devices. So Iran has to have a substantial number of devices, and building lots of bombs requires having lots of fuel.
So maybe for all these decades the Iranians genuinely have repeatedly got close to having a bomb. But with the certain knowledge that they can build that one device, they shelve that design and begin again with the objective of a more fuel-efficient device. And at the same time they continue to refine ever more fuel.
And eventually those two factors merge. Iran has a design that they can build enough of using what fuel they have on hand to annihilate Israel.
And maybe they finally reached that convergence.
