Hopefully the rumors backfire and all these illegals are so scared that ICE is coming for them they will leave and go pollute their shithole homelands.
Start deporting some of Hollywood
EVA: HAVE YOUR LAWYER EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW ENTERING THE USA WITHOUT PROPER PERMISSION/VISA, ETC IS CRIMINAL.
YOU CAN PAY $500 AN HOUR TO LISTEN TO A LAWYER-—
PEOPLE HERE ON FR WILL TELL YOU THE SAME THING FOR FREE..
IT’S YOUR $$$$$$$
Arrest them for aiding and abetting. This is becoming a civil war. Hire me and let me put a team together. Watch what would happen.
Eva Long Whoria.
Can’t figure out why she gets the publicity. Have never seen her in any movie...but from the list of her movies, that makes sense. Looks like she started in SOAPS...Any of us who worked for a living weren’t tuned into SOAPS. Retired - STILL not!!!
See if this helps: The one and only reason she’s getting air time is bc the L has internalized Orange Man bad. Anything remotely in that vein plays well as propaganda for the L media to pollute the air waves with.
I guess that makes sense...thanks!
First, the top-level optics: it is law enforcement swooping in and without apparent discrimination snatching people. That is a scary prospect in and of itself. AOC made it clear that she believes immigrants are being approached in their homes; news reports of apartment complex raids confirm that this happens. Then you have the round-ups from the pool of Home Depot day laborers. Rounding up the fear is the wholesale raids of businesses with a large number of entry-level workers.
Some people here on FR say "why don't you just go home?" To what? Some illegals come here because they have nothing where they came from. Or worse, they are preyed on by robbers and worse. They came to the United States to get away from those that harm them. So now these escapees (I hesitate to call them "asylum seekers") are now facing the rock and hard place scenario. They did it the wrong way, and are now paying the price.
Here is something else to consider: doing it the right way takes time, lots of time, with little or no assurance of success. These people need help NOW. Do it right, or do it fast. Take your pick.
A big part of the problem is the United States Congress. Our congresscritters are sitting on their hands.
The political class is also a big part of the problem. There are a large number of 'em that think the only way to solve the problem is to sock the taxpayer. Before the 60s, humanitarian assistance was in the hands of our faith organizations and NGOs with private benefactors.
United States business? It can be considered an attractive nuisance. The Search For More Money (the catchphrase for Spaceballs 2) means that business owners and investors will take advantage of the situation.
I'm in favor of the mass deportation myself. There are issues. Mixed documentation families will have some tough decisions. There are community concerns, too.
I do not want blanket amnesty for illegals who have been in the USA for decades, but I do want a pathway for those who are contributors, not leeches. The biggest barrier to citizenship for long-time illegals is the residency requirement. This issue was the genesis for DACA -- if you were brought as a young child, and was in USA schools for two-digit years, you were exposed and immersed into USA culture.
I don't expect the current crop of politicos to rise up to the challenge. Both Republicans and Democrats. And let's not forget the Socialists, they are the worst of the crop.
I don't have any viable answers to suggest. The problem is that the United States can't afford to be the world's dumping ground.
Robert Heinlein:
“[T]here seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously—after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important ... so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be ignorant and sub-literate every time he opens his mouth.”
During Roman times actors, poets and prostitutes were not allowed to vote.
I wish they were doing this. They need to get medieval on these suckers and make them feel there is no where they can go and feel safe. Then they will start self-deporting...
Cute in her day (and that day has long since left).
Don’t care. Deport them all.
She’s saying this from her home in Spain?
Why punish the prostitutes?
Doesn’t she live in Spain?
How many illegal African invaders work on her property?
Didn’t a Federal judge rule that Pres. Trump couldn’t close the Office of Disinformation (or whatever it was called)? He should use it here.
They don’t just do it about ICE. They spread lies about everything.
