"Ali returns to Khaybar": Khamenei's tweet raises concerns in the Jewish community in Iran. June 20, 2025
Khamenei's new tweet hinting at the extermination of Jews as Ali did in Khaibar marks a dangerous escalation and raises concerns that the Jewish community in Iran is in clear danger.
The Jewish community in Iran received a chilling reminder of its insecurity when, on June 16, 2025, at the same time as ballistic missiles were launched at Israel, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted a post on Twitter that included a poem threatening to recreate the massacre of Jews in Khaybar. The tweet, posted during the missile launch, included a poem in Persian that, translated into Hebrew, reads: "Ali will return to Khaybar with his Zulfiqar."
The tweet published by the Supreme Leader of Iran.

The "Ali" mentioned in the poem is Imam Ali, the first Shiite Imam, son-in-law and cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. "Zulfiqar" is Ali's famous sword, described as a double-edged sword. "Khaybar" refers to a Jewish fortress in the Arabian Peninsula, near Medina, that was captured by the Islamic army. All of its male Jewish inhabitants were executed by Ali himself using the sword of Zulfiqar.
It can be understood from the new post that this is an unprecedented "step up." In fact, the Supreme Leader of Iran, whose name is also Ali, is hinting at his own intentions. Just as Imam Ali killed, according to the stories, all the male Jews in Khaybar with his sword – so Khamenei now intends, using missiles, to "do what Ali did in Khaybar" – that is, to kill all the Jews.
It should also be noted that this is the first time, at least implicitly, that Khamenei has expressed hatred not only for "Zionists" - but for 'Jews' in general. This can be understood from the fact that the residents of ancient Khyber were Jews and not Zionists. This also raises "grave concerns" for the lives of Jews living in Iran, who could become targets for hostile actions by the regime, especially if it feels that it has reached a state of "all-out war."
They advocate suicide bombings for others to carry out, while they hide ensconced behind women and children. Salting billions away as did Arafat.
When civilization returns to Persia, what will it look like?
This is an answer to: ‘what is islamofascism?’
Someone explain to me why any Jew would feel safe in Iran, ever. Why would you go there, much less live there?
Religion of peace .
Their ancestors were taken captive there about 2700 years ago. Those that remain are descendants of those that got attached to the place, and never left. I think most remaining Persian Jews got out in the past 100 years, though.
“When civilization returns to Persia, what will it look like?”
For the civilized it will resemble what existed prior to Jimmy Carter & Ruhollah Khomeini. For the extremists it should resemble hell.
BiBi should reply with, “Bring it on.”
The Persians under Cyrus the Great liberated them and allowed their return, supporting the rebuilding of The Temple. He is described in the Bible as Annointed by God.
Until 1979 Iran had no issue with Israel or Jews. Nor with the United States. We and the non-Arab Iranian people have been in the current situation for 46 years ago because of one idiot Georgia cracker antisemite.
I know they were there back then, but it makes no sense that any of them are still there to this day. Boggles the mind.
“BOOM” is a better reply
Kill. Khamenei. Now.
...and the French, who released Ayatollah Khomenei and flew him from Paris to Tehran, an insane move.
I know a Persian Jewish family who literally walked from Iran to Israel many decades ago, just to escape. But I can imagine that there are some people who can’t bring themselves to leave their 100+ generation ancestral home, no matter what.
Tweeting from his underground bunker. 😆
Had the Messenger made up something in Our Name, We would have certainly seized him by his right hand, then severed his aorta, and none of you could have shielded him (from Us)!Should be a point of embarrassment for the Mahometans, since it proves that their “prophet” is false according to their own written sources.
— Surah 69:44-47
The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, “O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaybar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 4428
Maybe this latest development will help them change their minds.
