Recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in Los Angeles and the ensuing protests have roiled the area, and they’ve also made a big impact on local businesses.
In downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, KTLA’s Kimberly Cheng detailed unloaded crates of fresh produce in what’s typically a busy area full of workers and customers.
Some attribute the drop-off in shoppers and workers to concerns of being swept up in an ICE raid.
“I’ve noticed that a lot more people aren’t showing up, clients, people that work here … I’m pretty sure it’s fear,” one worker told Cheng. “A lot of people are afraid to get stopped by ICE police, because right now they’re not caring. Even citizens are getting stopped and almost taken.”

A little mid week good news for you. Enjoy!
Criminals are vanishing
That’s what I voted for!
Hooray!!!
If your LEGAL, you have nothing to worry about, But if your NOT, well...Good Luck and get going
“...I’m pretty sure it’s fear,” one worker told Cheng.”
Perhaps this ‘fear’ is an impetus for illegals to get the hell out of our country.
Hey, I’m a Latino and I wouldn’t be afraid to go shopping in LA because of the presence of ICE. Maybe because I’m not an illegal alien—or an alien of any kind, for that matter. Do they think all Latinos are illegal aliens?
Horrors.
“Do they think all Latinos are illegal aliens?”
Yes, they always do paint with such a broad brush, don’t they?
Almost pregnant, definite maybe, 100% possible….😂
Excellent.

Self deportation is the way!
The state of California incurs tens of billions of dollars a year in support of illegal aliens and a significant chunk comes from federal funds. CA has five congressional seats due to the counting of illegals in the census.
Weaning CA off of illegal immigration will be painful for some. It is a price worth paying.
Downtown LA has businesses.
Maybe real estate prices in LA start moderating soon...
Nuthin’ like having a couple million people leave to open up slots
They wouldn’t be afraid if they hadn’t broken the law.
Did something happen? Why are they “vanishing”?
Maybe it's not fear - maybe it's guilt. Maybe they've figure out that breaking into a place they're NOT welcome is tacky - and illegal.
Great...they can sign up with ICE, self deport, get 1,000 bucks, then get back in line. I am sure some would come back illegally anyway. Maybe they can get back to their own countries and try and reproduce what they saw here.
What "roiled" most of the nation is the unbridled invasion. Anyone self-deporting today can apply for, yes, l-e-g-a-l entrance into the USA.
I would love to have the money to park vans at every Home Depot, vans that have large lettering: I C E
