Following precise intelligence received by the IDF Intelligence Directorate and an emergent opportunity overnight (Tuesday), the IDF struck a staffed command center in the heart of Tehran and eliminated Ali Shadmani, the War-Time Chief of Staff, the most senior remaining military commander, and the closest remaining figure to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Shadmani served as War-Time Chief of Staff and Commander of the Emergency Command of the Iranian Armed Forces.
He commanded both the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian army.
At the start of the operation, he was appointed to command the Iranian Armed Forces after his predecessor, Alaa Ali Rashid, was eliminated in the opening strike of Operation Rising Lion.
The emergency command center “Khatam al-Anbiya,” under his command, was responsible for managing combat operations and approving Iran’s firepower plans.
In his various roles, he directly influenced Iran’s operational plans targeting Israel.

Lots of upward mobility in that organization.

Many of us were raised with the Golden Rule. We do not wish ill upon anyone.
One of my few exceptions to the above are Islamofascistnazis. When someone screams “death to me” every day, their death is not a bad thing. I am reminded of Ellie Nesler. Because of Ms Nesler, that child rapist never harmed another young soul.
Gosh. He hadn’t even had time to cool his coffee either
The farther down the line of succession you are in the Iranian military command structure, the longer your lifespan.
“Lots of upward mobility in that organization”
Promotions are a dime a dozen and not necessarily desired.
In Iran, “where do you see yourself in 5 years?” is no longer being asked during job interviews. Israel is probably holding back at this point out of a sense of sport.

The fact that so many of the Iranian military and political leaders are getting killed shows how deep the Mossad has penetrated the Iranian establishment and points to how many on the inside of Iran are selling out and are opposed to the leadership of the country
Yes and I have this feeling they could take out the supreme leader any time they want, but Trump hasn’t approved it yet.
Excellent.
And also, I think a lot of the population, and most of the younger generation of Iran are sick and tired of the religious fanatics running the country. They know their elections are phony and don’t want to live in the dark ages anymore.
There has been some debate (in various online forums) as to whether this is another Japanese Emperor situation, as the Supreme Leader has a theological element. The question is whether offing the Ayatollah would cause Iranian resistance to collapse or if it would cause them to go berzerker/kamikaze.
Also, someone will have to sign the eventual surrender.
Could be. Hirohito certainly deserved to swing like his generals, but that would have risked further pissing off the population. I don’t think Kakamamie or whatever his name is worshipped as much by the Iranians, though.
Some people agree, some people present evidence to the contrary - so you can see how that’s going.
Another factor is what would the religious commissars that run the state and have the people in fear do?
I don’t have the answers for that, either. Something to be considered.
Plot twist: The supreme leader was the Mossad mole all along.
As for the unfortunate new hire, if you accept a position with Mullah Inc., you definitely want to be careful during the probationary period.
Not a lot of job security in that position, is there?
Great retirement plan.
Supreme leader is 86 years old.
There were discussions about his replacement going on for a while.
I am not sure, if he needs help to get to see the virgins or if he will self depart.
