With one of these and a 200-mpg carburetor, my transportation worries are over.

Next, the system uses renewable electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen... Thank goodness for magic electricity.

Q: What is the dumbest, most expensive way to make fuel?
To: NoLibZone
The last time someone came up with something similar, he died in a mysterious accident.

Only Faux News would be dumb enough to believe this.
If it was this easy, it would have been done 100 years ago.

Well, to be fair, 100 years ago, they didn’t have magic “renewable” electricity.

Just buy everything from the JC Whitney catalog and your mileage will greatly improve.

I don’t think these guys are as smart as they think they are.
They go to all that trouble to make pure methanol?
That’s a hoot. If they figured out way to convert C02 to ethanol then the world would be their oyster and we would see solar panels going up all over the rural South.

Is the potassium hydroxide consumed or is it a catalyst? I couldn't tell from the article whether the "renewed" item was the potassium hydroxide or the carbon dioxide.
How much electricity is used per gallon of gas?
What octane level is created?
How many gallons will the device produce over a useful lifetime?
Basically, how much does a gallon of gas cost? Do it for a buck a gallon, I'll buy a few. If it costs $100 per gallon, it will merely be an interesting laboratory toy.

Used to love the JC Whitney catalog back when I ran old VWs. I guess there’s a retreaded version still out there on CarParts.com, but it’s probably not the same.

Your car exhaust can provide the CO2 and the alternator and a rectifier can provide the DC current - perpetual motion!

Aircela's technology combines direct air capture with on-site fuel synthesis, providing fossil-free gasoline that is fully compatible with existing engines and infrastructure. According to Aircela's president...

The Whitney catalog was quite the thing back in the day. EVERYTHING improved mileage.
