Greece and Britain have advised their merchant shipping fleets to avoid sailing through the Gulf of Aden and to log all voyages through the Strait of Hormuz after Israel’s large-scale attacks on Iran on Friday, documents seen by Reuters showed.
Iran has in the past threatened to close the critical Strait of Hormuz to traffic in retaliation for Western pressure. Analysts have said that any closure of the strait could restrict trade and impact global oil prices.
Greek shipowners were urged to send details of their vessels sailing through the Strait of Hormuz to Greece’s maritime ministry, according to one of the documents issued by Greece’s shipping association, which was sent on Friday.
“Due to developments in the Middle East and the escalation of military actions in the wider region, the (Greek) Ministry of Shipping … urgently calls on shipping companies to send … the details of Greek-owned ships that are sailing in the maritime area of the Strait of Hormuz,” the document said.

The CIA/Mossad Operation Rising Lion might have made this the only real viable card Iran has left to play. If Iran does shut down all traffic but Russian Shadow Fleet new tankers taking Iranian oil to China and India when oil is at $150, what happens then?
If we do end up fighting Bibi’s war on the ground in Iran, what happens if Putin sends American slaughtering drones and Iskanders to his treaty partner, Iran. Project Ukraine put the rules based seal of approval on such actions. What happens then?

“If Iran does shut down all traffic but Russian Shadow Fleet new tankers taking Iranian oil to China and India when oil is at $150, what happens then?”
That is such BS. We made it to $140 a barrel in 2008, with FAR LESS DISRUPTION then. Now it’s more like $400+ if those oil lanes are closed.
But yes, the Russian Shadow Fleet will be VERY POPULAR in Europe, as $500 oil is FAR BETTER for Europe than no oil.
It seems to me that if Iran more or less manages to close the Straits of Hormuz, that would actually benefit the big oil producers outside of the Middle East — The US would benefit, Russia would benefit. Who would really lose? China.
I say: go ahead and shut down the Straits. Iran won’t really gain by it: Iran will lose.
Is our own drilling 100% online? That would work.
Sink all Iranian ships, especially the ones that are transporting oil.
OK, oil at today’s price of $70, Iran does as I project. Oh no, here it comes, what happens then? That never Pentagon asked question, what happens on day two?
Oh yeah, Israel and the U.S. involved on the ground killing and rampaging (see Afghanistan and Iraq) working regime change and conquest of a democratically (at least they have elections, see Z) elected government and the occupation of Iran by our murderous proxy (see our installed head chopper, Jolani in Syria) dictator of the country. Yep, the mirror image of our and now Trump’s involvement in Ukraine. When the drones and Iskanders are killing thousands of American boys a week, what happens then?

Trump isn’t about to send troops into Iran as he actually LISTENS to his Intelligence people.
.
The big, big, big winner will be Putin. He sits on the sidelines while Trump bumbles us into Project Iran WITH AMERICAN BOYS. All Putin does is rake in double oil profits to pay for his new missile systems and weapons to slaughter American boys in Iran.
He doesn’t. He listens to his Uke controller Graham and his Iran advisor Levin!
A false flag today and Trump with his gang of warmongering neocons would be airlifting the 82nd to its doom tomorrow. The logistics are, of course, already in place. Trump can say he found out about the whole thing on X.
“He doesn’t. He listens to his Uke controller Graham and his Iran advisor Levin!”
LOL, your too worried about it. Our military is about 1/3 as strong as it was in 1990 (Gulf War 1) and Iran’s military is about 10 times stronger than Iraq in 1990.
Trump will be told that, and will listen. It took him a while, but he’s already figured out Graham on Ukraine.
**OK, oil at today’s price of $70, Iran does as I project. Oh no, here it comes, what happens then? That never Pentagon asked question, what happens on day two?**
I’m sure the bean counters not in the Pentagon have it calculated but in war all bets are off.
