"We express our profound concern regarding the dangerous escalation of tensions in the Middle East"
"We strongly condemn Israel's military actions on the night of June 13 in clear violation of the UN Charter & established principles of international law"
While France says this... :
“France reaffirms Israel’s right to defend itself and ensure its security,” Macron said in English, on X.”, standing unequivocally behind Israel’s actions following its strikes on Iran. See the LINK at the end of this post.
What followed from both France and Germany — calls for restraint and a diplomatic resolution — mirrors the kind of balanced rhetoric often employed by Donald Trump regarding Russia’s war on Ukraine. While Trump acknowledges Ukraine’s sovereign right to defend itself, he consistently emphasizes the urgent need for all sides to pursue a peaceful solution.
This is the language of standard diplomacy: affirm the right to self-defense, then pivot to urging de-escalation and dialogue. It’s a familiar pattern — one meant to signal resolve without closing the door to negotiation.
Again: what Germany and France then said about “finding a diplomatic solution” is exactly the way Trump expresses himself concerning Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Translation: It’s wrong for Israel to fight back against Iran that’s been attacking Israel from multiple angles for almost 2 years....because it’s wrong for Ukraine to strike back against Russia for attacking Ukraine. (typed in my best Putin voice)
Time for you to abandon your Russia/Iran lovefest.
If you and the French want to fight the Russia, DO SO and leave us the hell out of it.
There goes their Shaheed factory. Where will Russia get their drones now? lol.
European countries and Russia are full of crap. They all knew that Iran posed an existential threat to Israel and that eventually Israel would fix this problem.
Yeah because Russia hates war.
Putin HATES Iran’s leaders. He winked at the attack. Delete your account.
Blah, blah, blah. Pay attention to what people do not what they say.
Putin’s cadre of Free Republic followers will be pleased to read that press release.
Israel was just countering the Nazis in Iran....
“Putin HATES Iran’s leaders.”
ROTFLMAO at the Putinista propagandists!
Putin signs strategic comprehensive pact with Iran, cementing long-term alliance

“Pay attention to what people do not what they say.”
Yep! Putin signed an alliance with Iran.
I think it's a stretch to call it an alliance. At least, not a military alliance. If I understand it correctly, what Russia and Iran have is more like a strategic agreement, kind of like Israel's relationship with the U.S.
“European countries and Russia are full of crap. They all knew that Iran posed an existential threat to Israel and that eventually Israel would fix this problem.”
Europe hides behind the shield of the USA.
And now hides behind Israel.
They’re all cowards.
Russia is dependent on Iran for its drones.
He hates Iran like he hates vodka and fine wine, both of which he loves.
“I think it’s a stretch to call it an alliance. At least, not a military alliance.”
OK. Call it a treaty!
China-Russia-North Korea
