It may be a Constitutional right but it is mostly a God given right to protect ourselves, our families and our property. Have as many firearms as you think you will need to do just that.
That and the Lone Ranger spouting “I only shoot to wound”.
Please tell us that you have misremembered that scene!
Once you have unlocked your safe and retrieved your gun, you're instantly "good to go" and can start blasting away at dangerous perps. But once you've instead telephoned the police, you're sitting their, waiting (who knows how long?) for them to arrive and protect you. Meanwhile, the perps are duct-taping your children's mouths.
Regards,
Check with that zealot Princess Kathy first. She probably won’t like the idea.
I'll trust the latter.
Can’t get arms...it’s New York.
Friend of mine lived in a sketchy part of Omaha when he was first married 40 years ago & they would have prostitutes, drug dealers outside where they lived & if he called the police, they’d always drag their feet so he’d tell them he had a gun & would take care of it himself. Cops hate paperwork.
Good response to the cops. When guns are involved they’re there.
He was a character. When he was single, he had a neighbor in his townhouse who would play music & party until 2 in the morning. He went to Goodwill & bought an 8 track player and a copy of Iron Butterfly, put it on play and went to work for the day. Fixed his problem.
Guns? A Constitutional right? In New York City? Is this woman delusional?
When seconds count the police are minutes away.
Ah,yes! But that’s where “jury nullification” comes into play.
2nd amendment all the way but just having a gun doesn’t matter if you don’t have it available (like in a stupid safety box or safe or night-stand drawer) and ready and are trained to use it. If you are sitting in your easy chair, in the kitchen making a sammich, or in the john and the wife or kid opens the door and someone pushes in unless you have it right-there you will not retrieve it in time.
I have several stashed about the house and some of the time have one on my person.
