Columns of tanks have arrived in Washington DC ahead of an enormous planned military parade to mark the US Army’s 250th anniversary, which coincides with President Trump’s birthday and Flag Day.
A mile-long line of tanks, some of the 150 military vehicles set to take part in Saturday’s parade, arrived in the capital by freight train over the weekend, video shared on X by reporter Benjamin Alvarez shows.
M1 Abrams tanks, M2 Bradley and Stryker fighting vehicles, and M109 Paladin howitzers were among the equipment that arrived this past Saturday, ending a 1,300-mile journey from Texas that began on May 21.
The daylong event along the National Mall will also feature approximately 6,600 soldiers and 50 aircraft, according to the Army.
The program is budgeted to cost $30 million, but could rise as high as $45 million depending on the need to repair damaged streets around Washington and other factors.

I live an hour from there and really wish I could celebrate our heritage.
But, my wife’s recovering from surgery. I can’t leave
OK, antifa, Newsom, Bass, gang bangers, Democrats, and other misfits, go for it!
That’s too bad. Hope your wife’s recovery is going well.
My sister and BIL just sold their house of nearly 40 years in Crofton, MD. I could fly back and stay with them...except they are now on-the-move on a cross-country trip and don’t have a house there any more.
Just in time for an upcoming riot by DC communists and perverts...
Hope each tank has one shell available...
Eisenhower’s greatest talent was logistics.
So he had that going for him!
Deploy LRAD and microwave energy area denial systems.
Nice touch that the train number was 1776
Amazingly well. Thanks. God blessed.
We found out a few days ago mastectomies are now outpatient.

His grandpa did this too during Ike while at VMI
Bring in the King Tigers! Jk.
Will Roger’s commented on the post WW1 parades. He said something to the effect if they want to honor the troops they should have the soldiers sit in the stands and have the people march by.
We liked Ike.
I served under Reagon, too. I got his first big salary hike for the military while I was in basic.

Great news for the tankers to get out on the open road and crank those babies up to 70 mph!
In basic I got the big raise under Nixon, something like $270 a month, about double what it had been.
So… there IS a precedent for a military parade other than WWII VJ and VE days. Someone should clue in the anti-American democrats in this country.
We should be using those systems in LA. We never get creative and use the tools at our disposal.
