“ The strike on Russian airfields was a tactical victory for Ukraine, but a strategic failure - at least in the eyes of the closest circle of the American leader Donald Trump. The rhetoric has changed dramatically. Kiev is no longer an ally, but a potential threat to global security. One of those who is sure that Kiev screwed up and at the same time exposed not only itself, is retired US Air Force General Blaine Holt. On the air of the Newsmax TV channel, he stressed that the attack of Ukrainian drones on airfields in Russia had affected a third of strategic bombers that were subject to the strategic offensive Arms Reduction treaty of 2010. The general is confident that no one in the Russian military command believes that Kiev acted without the help of the West. Therefore, Ukraine has actually put Europe at risk.”

There is no “right” side in this.
It is refreshing to hear an acknowledgment from those close to the administration that Ukraine was once an ally of the United States, a truth I have been advancing here for some time.
But it is distressing to see administration that can label its partner an ally one moment, and disown it the next.
If we repudiate this ally, we cannot expect Pacific rim nations, whom we need as allies against China, to fail take note.
Waiting for Russia to drop a conventional long range missile into Brussels.

The deep state is dead set on chaos and destruction.
Trump is not involved. They planned sh#t for 18 months behind his back.
Watch the EU leaders high on cocaine begin sending tactical nukes to Zelensky who’s probably hiding in his bomb shelter.
Are the Russians not correct?
Did Ukraine blow up the Nord Stream Pipeline without Western help?
Has it been fighting all these years without Western help?
Fortunately, the EU and England are self- destructing by their own hands. They have always been a bigger threat to the US than Russia ever was.
The slower the grind, the finer the dust. Why is Ukraine, England and the EU all so intent on suicide?
I believe Zelensky is now only listening to radical elements within the Brussels-London EU establishment.
If they can’t use Ukraine to divide and encumber Russia, which was their goal for the last 2 decades, then as a fall-back position, they certainly must prevent the USA and Russia from normalizing relations.
Trump didn’t say ally.
That said, Stalin’s Russia was an ally, so-named at the time. So it’s not as if the concept is that far-fetched, us (U.S.) and Ukraine having been, for a time, allies.
So maybe: Yes, now an admitted former “ally” of sorts.
The conflict that made us allies, or allies of sorts, is still ongoing. So this public transition from ally-of-sorts to rival party-of-sorts must signal something very important, or it wouldn’t have been admitted.
What, and to whom, are we signalling?
We must be saying something conciliatory to Putin’s Russia (another non-ally rival party). Much as being conciliatory toward Putin rankles many who are died-in-the-wool anti-Putin types. Trump must ultimately value at least serviceable relations with the Russian regime, and concluded, in the wake of the recent noted attack by Ukraine, by their drones, of Russian national assets notoriously arrayed for foreign view by satellite pursuant to treaty provisions, that Russia would appreciate and respond favorably to the current admission, viewing it as a concession and an indication that we value a gradual rebuilding relations with Russia now MORE than fostering a fatally flawed alliance of sorts with Ukraine.
Senator “Linda” must be sprawled out on his fainting couch as we speak.
It is my opinion that some outside force needs to “take care of” Mr. Zelensky. Remove him, and the war is at an impasse and most likely over.
“If we repudiate this ally, we cannot expect Pacific rim nations, whom we need as allies against China, to fail take note.”
Yes, their viewpoints are important and will need to be solicited and contended with to ensure that they are not left feeling like they may be next.
If Ukraine’s supposed law preventing wartime elections could be suspended somehow?
This shoes are shiny and look expensive.
That’s Trump alright. Suit pants well tailored!
Zelinskyyyy is an inveterate billy goat, that’s for sure. He’ll never again be seen wearing designer dress shoes!
Who is the “we” there? I don’t see the author’s name anywhere in the English version of the article.
Blumenthal is such a weasel.
Senators can really end up being low-down creeps.
