Oh, Tommy Teelis, sleazy RINO backstabbing used car sales POS tries to use an old Rat argument to keep people paying the government slave tax?

How shocking.

Send this grinning cheeseball huckster conman back the Tidewater swamps he came from.

And BTW, when one chooses to tip, sht like this is why one should always tip in cash.

"Tips are earned they are not a gift."

If a rich member at a country club slides the Caddy Master or the Starter a fifty for doing basically nothing but discussing the weekend's football, that's not a gift? He did it because he genuinely likes the employee and wants him/her to make money.

If anyone should have a claim to part of the fifty, it should be the club - because they're providing the work environment that makes it possible. Certainly not the gubbmint.

How about we eliminate federal Medicaid and all aid to the poor, lower taxes proportionately, and let each state decide if it wants to raise taxes for such programs?

It would be a 25% overall tax decrease.

I would say tip employment is feast or famine too,

That's also true of gig work, consulting, and a host of small business enterprises.

Pay for work is pay for work, not a gift.

DOGE cuts tomorrow, in a separate bill. I dare the democrats to filibuster it. We have a good 20 Republicans who will support pushing DOGE cuts forward. Tomorrow... er, uh, next time we are back in session, er, uh, it’s on the regular calendar, er, uh, well after the election...

It used to be that the standard deduction exempted most families from taxation. I read the average 1 person wage in the US is $40K. So raise the deduction to $80K for a married couple and peg it to inflation. This would also exempt most SS recipients from Federal taxes.

Cut spending and raise tariffs to make up the shortfall and slash most government regulations and remove the right of people to sue over "environmental" reasons, unless a permit is denied.

US real growth would zoom to 6%-7% per year.

He’s not going to toe all the Trump lines.

Tillis has a good chance of winning but only if Roy Cooper is not running.

Tillis is trying to get the suburban vote.

Under a state only welfare policy, all the bums will move to blue states who do not understand this.

Does North Carolina have open primaries? If it does not, Tillis will possibly be defeated in a closed primary.

Trump campaigned on making tips tax-free, and the House draft would create a new tip deduction for people in industries where tipping is customary so long as they don’t make more than $160,000.

Waitresses don't make $160k. Ridiculously high limit.

Not only would no tax on tips directly benefit the employee, it would also greatly benefit the employer because if the tips are not being taxed then the employer would not have to pay any matching contributions like Social Security and Medicare, the elimination of no tax on tips is a win/win situation for both the employee and employer

“”””When you work for tips, there’s no guarantee of tips; when you work in a warehouse, your pay is guaranteed.””””

That is why waiters and waitresses are always desperate to move into the steady, dependable, guaranteed pay of busser and dishwasher when there is an opening.

if you don’t want your server to pay taxes on tips, then don’t include the tip on your credit card. Tip in cash.
