I’ve heard Trump say very similar a few months ago. It’s I share similar thoughts. He did try to be on both sides of an issue but never went nearly as left as he did as “President”.
In the past I would have considered Joe Biden to be center-left.
Joe’s biggest problem was he lies.
Joe Biden definately took a left turn as VP for Obama. As President he really went quite far to the left to places the Biden everybody knew never thought he could go.
I think his Presidency was hijacked.
I think he dictates them to an assistant who writes the draft, they go back and forth over some phrases and words, then the assistant posts them. I’ve seen some video of this.
As for his comments about Joe Biden I think it is right, and proper. First if you look at his career in the Senate he was not close to these kinds of policies. He has a crime bill named after him that many on the left hated. As Obama’s VP he didn’t object to the deportations and “cages”. But most important here is the optics. Trump can’t run down a sick old man sho was abused by the people around him. The story and the optics both seem to be close to the same truth. Biden was frail and instead of helping him and the country, these people usurped his power for their own personal gain and political ideological gain. There is no upside to making Biden the villain in this story. He is the victim, or one of the victims anyway. He is not to blame and the story needs to focus on the criminals who abused him.
