I’m a fish hugger.

And tearing down the dams will require more than 80% of the people to leave the state.

All the major companies would be required to leave.

Cheap hydropower is the engine of this state.

Indians and legal protections for the Sea lions which now populate into the Columbia river, and swamp boats of boat owners. How many salmon can a sea lion eat per day? Enough to drive them to extinction.

There are multiple islands around Kelso/Longview on the Columbia. From the Oregon border to Washingtons. The beaches are covered in Sea Lions and their excrement. COVERED is not an overstatement. All the way up to the falls, and back to the ocean. They await salmon, eating them into extinction. Look up some pictures of that area. I used to sail the Columbia in that area, it was like a paradise, untouched by human hands, except for some litter and camp fire leavings. Since 1978, it is a nightmare.
