Good question. Why help out a gang member? Is Trump sick?

It doesn’t look like the guy is getting out of jail. Because there are a bunch more charges that were not commuted.

The only thing I can think is that there may be evidence of some of convictions were in error.

Maybe his morals got frayed during his WWF tenure?

This could be a plan of Trump’s that will be more obvious when the Biden pardon’s unfold in the public eyes.

What about GETTING EVERYONE OUT WHO WAS ARRESTED ON/FOR JANUARY 6?

If there is still one person in there, it is an outrage. What about the lady in Arizona who got locked up trying to help his ass? (but since he won, he no longer cares about voter fraud)

74 years old. Been in for 50 years for a murder in 1973 and racketeering charges from inside in the mid-90s. I’ve never heard of him. Has he done anything noteworthy and unquestioned towards redemption?

Did Trump explain his reasoning?

He pardoned Alice Johnson and that one has worked out fine.
It would be interesting to see the recidivism rate of his pardonees.

You make me want to vomit. Although I am envious of you in the sense that I wish I can live my life so blissfully ignorant with my head up my ass like some of you...

Well, sounds like he is commuted for the Federal Charges of dope and racketeering in the 90s from inside, but still doing time for that murder... Life to 200? He’s going to die in prison. Sounds like Trump is not turning him loose...

He still has to serve his state sentence. The story did not indicate how long that was.

It gets him out of the Federal system and on the state dole.

I doubt he’s done anything legitimately redemptive. The gang he helped founded in the late 60’s in Chicago, the Gangster Disciples, has an estimated membership of approximately 30,000 bangers (yes, that number is correct) in 35 states.

According to the article Hoover will still have to serve his sentences for state convictions. Still, I don’t like this. And what’s to stop Pritzker from pardoning him on those?

I don’t disagree with Trump on much, but this sounds like one of those occasions. I’d like to hear Trump’s reasoning.

I hope Trump isn’t being rolled by Alice Johnson and Kanye West. Imagine standing up to the mullahs, Xi, Putin, etc. and getting rolled by the likes of them?

I’m more interested in learning WHY he pardoned the couple convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion and convicted in Atlanta...I haven’t seen any explanation of that - Julie and Todd Chrisley. I haven’t heard/seen one word about WHY they deserved to be pardoned...

Because the prosecutor loudly and frequently claimed they where being prosecuted because they were Trump supporters?

Doesn’t mean they aren’t guilty, it’s a “fruit of the poisonous tree” situation.
