TORIES SINK TO LOWEST POLL RATING EVER
Telegraph ^ | May 20 | Telegraph

Posted on 05/20/2025 5:00:00 AM PDT by RandFan

The Conservative Party has sunk to its lowest ever poll rating recorded by one of Britain’s most reputable pollsters.

A YouGov poll carried out on May 18 and 19 found the Tories are now in fourth place and polling at just 16 per cent, which the company said was a historic low.

It comes after the Conservatives lost every single council they were defending at this month’s local elections and as Reform UK continues to surge.

The Tories are in fourth position for the first time since June 2019, which was at the height of the Brexit deadlock and shortly before Baroness May was forced out of Downing Street.

The YouGov poll of 2,222 adults put Reform in the lead on 29 per cent, up one point on the previous week. It has extended its lead over Labour, which was in second on 22 per cent.

The Conservatives, meanwhile, were down two points on the previous week and have been overtaken by the Liberal Democrats, who were up by one point and polling at 17 per cent.

The CINO Tories face wipe out! Hurrah!

Wow and Reform UK are 7 points clear of Labour. That would give them a big majority.

When you become a Party About Nothing, this is what happens.

This is the Republicans future if they don’t take heed.

I guess the Brits figure they don’t need yet another left wing party.

Bummer for the UK that its people FINALLY figure out how screwed they have been by their Uniparty (the Globalists), several months AFTER their national election.

Now the Globalists have YEARS to figure out how to jail their opposition.

You won’t be losing any sleep over this then.

They’re well on their way to being marginalized and not even a threat or a “least worst choice”. They’re facing wipe-out and Reform will get a comfortable majority

A plurality, but probably not a majority. I sure can see the other parties allying with Labour to keep Reform out of power.

The next UK general election doesn’t have to be called before August of 2029. That gives the British Deep State plenty of time to cut lots of deals, and cause even more mischief.

That’s what happens when you’re a conservative party that isn’t conservative.

Geographically it’s challenging in the US for another party to rise up outside the big 2. It would take someone with a big personality to break away and sever ties.

Actually, Donald Trump could have done it but he didn’t. That shows you it’s’ difficult but one day it’ll happen.

It won’t happen without runoff elections.

Yes I agree it’s so difficult in the US the next viable party is the LP (third party) and they have no chance polling at a perennial 1%

Run offs would be a good way to purge RINOs and allow more independently minded candidates to prevail

Or someone (a leader) like a Donald Trump with a big personality and force of nature but even he did not break away from the GOP.

Whoever replaces Trump on the Republican Ticket will go a long way to determining if the Republican Party remains competitive on a national basis.

In 2028 if the Republican Party reverts back to a Nikki Haley type Neocon as their nominee, then it’s over, if they nominate a MAGA candidate like JD Vance then the Republican Party has a chance to survive.

By aligning with Reform UK, the mass of Britain’s conservative voters are shedding the Tory party’s leadership.

This should not come as any surprise. There is a general trend in the West that is most evident here: the “tradcons” (traditional conservatives, in this country the Chamber of Commerce types) are losing out to a center-right coalition of populist conservatives, such as the MAGA in the US, AfD, the Romanian outcasts, Orban in Hungary, Meloni in Italy, and Farage in the UK. Some nations are behind the curve, most notably Canada, but they’ll catch up.

P.S. Asian countries don’t have the Western penchant for Aristotle, with their main societal philosopher being Confucius, so such movements aren’t going to catch on there; the best we can hope for is governments that are generally non-communist and also non-violent (Japan, Philippines, etc.).
