BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union on Tuesday agreed fresh sanctions to impose on Russia, notably targeting almost 200 ships from the shadow fleet illicitly transporting oil to skirt Western restrictions imposed over the war on Ukraine.

The 27-nation bloc targeted 189 ships in all, and imposed asset freezes and travel bans on several officials as well as on a number of Russian companies. The measures were endorsed by EU foreign ministers in Brussels.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said that while President Vladimir “Putin feigns interest in peace, more sanctions are in the works. Russia’s actions and those who enable Russia face severe consequences.”

How many world wars is Europe going to drag us into before we learn our lesson?

“...illicitly transporting oil”

Are they breaking Russian law? Are they breaking Chinese/Indian law? Are they breaking UN law?

Nope. Instead a bunch of has-been countries overrun with solar panels and pedophiles are trying to tell the country with the strongest military in the world how to engage in commerce.

“Trump said new sanctions will be counterproductive at this point”

Trump finally figured out that the only people “stringing him along” were the Neocons, both here and in Europe.

““The strongest military in the world” which cannot defeat Ukraine after three years of war.”

They’re not fighting Ukraine, but then you know that.

Regardless of your Astroturfing here, the Russians will soon be fighting Ukraine, based on Trump’s latest statements.

Make all the excuses that you want but the only troops in Ukraine are Ukrainian, and the Russians have not been able to make any real progress for over two years.

You’ll soon have your Ukraine versus Russia War, very soon.

We’ll all see how it goes.

Nonsense. Their sanctions targeted insurance so they couldn’t insure oil transport so Russia got it’s own ships and now they seem to think they have authority over them also.

Estonia tried to commandeer an oil tanker of its coast that was headed to St. Petersberg and the Russians sent a fighter jet to remind the Baltic Nazis who they were messing with. 😂

Keep burying your Banderites next to your run-of-the-mill Ukrainian schlubs.

European officials have called the recent conversation between Putin and Trump a major win for the Russian leader

According to FT, Leaders across Europe were reportedly surprised by Washington’s reluctance to impose new sanctions on Moscow.

“He [Trump] is stepping back. Supporting and funding Ukraine, as well as putting pressure on Russia — it’s all on us now,” a senior European diplomat told the Financial Times.

They’re hiding the Ukie dead, just like they had Joe Biden’s cancer.

And the Free Republic neocons are lapping it up like a dog on a pile of his own vomit.

“Kiev in 3 days!”

“Russia is the second best military in the Ukraine!”

“Har har har aren’t we clever?”

Yeah. You can see the EU has ambitions that far out weigh any strength it once had.
