Trump awards medals of sacrifice to three Florida police officers

President Trump on Monday awarded the first-ever Medals of Sacrifice to three Florida law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. The medals were awarded to Corporal Luiz Paez Jr., Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller Jr. and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, all members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. All three were killed last November when they were struck by a vehicle while they were waiting on a shoulder for a deputy to come assist with a disabled patrol motorcycle.

The Medal of Sacrifice is a new National Medal honoring first responders who pay the ultimate sacrifice. The three deputies honored today are the first recipients.

The medals are designed and struck by Tiffany and Co.

Think of it. The left almost could have had the military and police in their clutches if Kamala won. DEI was rooting out good people who want a peaceful society. Now, Trump is solidifying loyalty to common sense law and order. That’s a culture shift.

Very sad.
I don't know the details of this case, but most folks aren't aware of the danger of being on the shoulder - one would expect LEOs to know - one has to be alert to the danger of passing traffic at all times and not let your attention drift for a moment.
