Quentin Palmer was on his way to work last Saturday afternoon when he detoured to drop off flowers he bought from a roadside stand for Mother’s Day.
He delivered them to his son’s mother in Beltsville, Maryland, and only briefly spoke to the teenager, Derrick Palmer, who had two friends visiting that day. --SNIP-- Officers recovered two 9mm Glock handguns, one of which had an “obliterated serial number,” and a 9mm Polymer 80 “ghost gun” handgun with a 30-round extended magazine and machine gun conversion switch, according to the charging documents. The documents note the guns were found in the bedroom and inside the home.

So having a serial number on the guns would have suddenly made this not happen?
Wow. That is some magic engraving.
Sounds like dad did not live with mom or with his son.
Nope.
LOCK THEM UP !
Hide the Keys!
Sure sign of bullshit.
They need to find out who the guns belonged to and charge them
I also feel sorry for the kid who pulled the trigger
Yea he was stupid and should have known better
but it sounds like it was just a stupid preventable accident
Correct.
I couldn’t agree more.
Teenage boys should no better about playing with guns and when you have a 9mm Glock with serial numbers scratched off and another 9mm Polymer 80 “ghost gun” handgun with a 30-round extended magazine and machine gun conversion switch then these “boys” have been around guns quite a bit.
And, “ghost gun” with extended magazine. Training is important. A good friend’s son was killed by him and his pals “playing” with a 12 gage. Sad stuff.
Very stupid.
Absolutely preventable.
Darwin Award - outta the gene pool and unable to reproduce!!! BONUS
All guns need to be secured. Someone needs to be charged for this or it will keep happening. Our guns are secure and my dad had tons of guns and 6 kids never once did any gun Fire accidentally.
If he was such a good boy then why:
“Officers recovered two 9mm Glock handguns, one of which had an “obliterated serial number,” and a 9mm Polymer 80 “ghost gun” handgun with a 30-round extended magazine and machine gun conversion switch, according to the charging documents.”
“*Need a app to read the story.”
Nope.
The chosen FAFO arsenal of dusky miscreants.
What doesn’t usually come off, in the statistics, is the high proportion of firearms accidents involving criminally possessed firearms.
It seems that our criminal gangs and drug dealers make just as poor choices with respect to gun safety as they do with the rest of their lives.
Meanwhile, he dropped his kid off with his mother, who is living with a couple of criminal gang members, and it’s the gun that is the problem?
Fathers are suppose to teach their children. These guys, apparently, were more interested in other things.
How many were saved from being killed by these "kids" due to this incident?
