Two teenagers from Tehama County were arrested after allegedly plotting an attack on Evergreen Middle School in Cottonwood, authorities said. The investigation began on May 9, 2025, when a Tennessee resident contacted the Tehama County Sheriff's Office. The individual reported concerns after engaging in online gaming with one of the teens, who discussed school violence and shared a manifesto and plans targeting the school.... The suspect also sent photographs of himself and an accomplice posing in attire similar to the Columbine school shooters, according to the sheriff's office. Allegedly, the attack was initially planned for May 9 but was not executed after one of the teens backed out.
.. Tehama County Sheriff's Deputies, in collaboration with school administration, identified the suspects and alerted the school. Detectives from the Tehama County Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and executed search warrants at the suspects' residences in the Bowman and Lake California areas on May 11, 2025. Evidence supporting the allegations was found, leading to the arrest of the two juveniles.
The suspects were booked into the Tehama County Juvenile Justice Center on charges including criminal threats, manufacturing and possession of destructive devices, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Investigators believe the plot was isolated to the two arrested juveniles.
.. The Tehama County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to the school administration and the reporting party, whose actions may have prevented a tragedy. "We want to send out a heartfelt thank you to the reporting party who heard something and said something, which could have saved a number of lives," the sheriff's office said.

Yes , tehama sheriff is on the ball.
But if not for the Tennessee citizen and a surge of last minute sanity of one of the kids......
The school admin apparently had no clue we what was fermenting under their noses.
These kids need to be put in a permanent living situation far from civilization where they can be productive without human contact of a vulnerable group of people.
I am tired of this crap. Make an example of them. Boil them in oil out in the middle of the school court yard and put it on TV.
When finished, put the parents in the same pot.
Only way to stop this stuff is to show extreme examples of what happens when you plan this. Stop molly coddling this pint size gangsters. Smart enough to plan this type atrocity, smart enough to realize what will happen.,
There is ZERO accountability.
I can’t tell you how many criminals have been set free with NO punishment and that only emboldens them to do worse. They plead down or get their crimes dismissed entirely - UNACCEPTABLE.
I pay taxes to prevent this crap so I can Iive a good life free from criminals.
Even if I live to be 1000, there are some things in this life that I’ll never understand. Shooting up a school full of kids is one of them. Rape is another.
It is a team effort. When they were alerted to the situation it was taken care of.

A Tennessee citizen and the tehama sheriff office alerted the authorities,
the school were oblivious to the prog angst brewing under their noses apparently, they should be looked at to determine if political topics such as TDS ,illegal immigration or the climate change cult or “ gender” and “ trans” issues were being discussed in class rooms. I could be wrong, this area is ultra conservative , (and I personally know a substitute teacher , iirc, who occasionally works at this school and even lives on Bowman road and they are a conservative Christian ) but it should be looked into to make sure this isn't a contributing factor . .
