China, which shares land borders with both countries and is a close ally of Pakistan, expressed regret over India's military action.
China on Wednesday (May 7) expressed regret and concern over Indian strikes on Pakistan, urging both sides to show restraint in response to a major escalation between its nuclear-armed neighbours.

"India and Pakistan are neighbours that cannot be moved apart, and they are also China's neighbours," a foreign ministry spokesperson said in a statement.
"China opposes all forms of terrorism."
"We call on both India and Pakistan to prioritise peace and stability, remain calm and restrained and avoid taking actions that further complicate the situation," the spokesperson added.

They better be concerned. China and India share a disputed border. Last thing China wants is a pissed off militarized Indian neighbor.
When nuclear neighbors are at odds (China sleeps with Pakistan), things become difficult. It’s like gunfighting with cops. Kill one? Now you gotta kill them all. Ain’t gonna happen but when the bullets are nukes it ain’t good for anyone. None of these folks like each other. Worst part. Once the lions loose, there’s no going back. Once the bullet leaves the barrel. It’s on.

Right. China has pushed the envelope right up to the brink of war with Taiwan and has made its intentions 100% clear that it will invade if it thinks it can get away with it.
China could release some of the more than a million Uyghur
Muslims in China’s Xinjiang region in so-called reeducation camps and have them plead for peace in Pakistan.
Communist Chinese are such peace lovers. /S
