Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets in retaliation to an Indian missile attack, early Wednesday morning.
The attacks were on cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir, which killed at least 3 Pakistanis and injured 12 others. India claimed the attack was "focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature," and targeted “terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan and Pakistan administered-Kashmir.
But Pakistan has denied their claim, saying the horror attack which saw giant explosions, largely harmed civilians. Tensions between the neighbors have been rising steadily over the past several months and if escalated to an all-out war would spark a 'nuclear winter' and destroy the world.
A recent deadly rampage by a gunman, which resulted in the death of 26 people, has put further strain on relations between the two countries. Those murdered in the incident were primarily Indian tourists.
Today, Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, took to X after the missile attack, calling the attacks “cowardly.”
“Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and a forceful response is being given,” he said, adding that the “entire nation” stands with Pakistan’s armed forces on “how to deal with the enemy”.
Indeed Pakistani troops did act fast. According to Geo News, the Pakistan Army has destroyed an Indian Army brigade headquarters. A missile strike by Pakistani forces has also wiped out an enemy post in the Dhundial sector of the Line of Control, sources said.
Pakistan has also shot down two Indian Jets, according to local reports. Security officials are said to have confirmed the claim.

Gotta go India in the dog fight. They’re bigger, richer, and they hate less than the islamos.
Did Xi get Pakistan to get its agents in Kashmir to act up???
This is the scenario that seems to always precipitate a strategic exchange in war gaming. Kooks with Nukes.
Several skirmishes over the years while both have nukes. Too smart to use them.
Fair fight. Let them go at it. Both are overpopulated.
Great. Dumb and dumber with nukes fighting.
I’m with you on this one.

Russian (Su30 or Mig 29) or locally produced Indian jets?:
War is infectious. War in one part of the world tends to spread to others.
I guess P.M. Starter will join the Coalition of the Obedient against India any day now ...
---- "...attack was 'focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature'...."
Attacks are non-escalatory? One may be assured a lot of non-escalation will be seen in the coming days.

Oh good more war.
Except I haven’t found credible evidence of the claims. Of course, India denies the shoot-downs, so they wouldn’t be a credible source. But supposedly the IAF jets launched their missiles from within Indian airspace -
This is really not good. They both have nukes.
When does BRICS replace the dollar?
Pakistan has a lot of U.S. war toys to play with, thanks to decades of being our cold war “ally,” before they weren’t
There are some differences in atomic weaponry strategy between the two. Heaven forbid if nukes get used this time, it will be closely studied on the effects and results of their use.
You can make book some factions are anxious to use
The nukes.
India Focused on greasing the bombs and missiles with first quality Pig Lard, Measured the hang time the terrorists remained airborne, and no Escalators were used, they just "Stepped" up the explosives to get to the next level.
Apparently, India has been reading Western Media Style Books more than the Pakistanis.
