Speaking in parliament, he stressed that no one can tell Budapest what decision it is to make on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union
BUDAPEST, May 5. /TASS/. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that he was forced into an open conflict with Vladimir Zelensky because he heard a blatant threat in his words.
Speaking in parliament, he stressed that no one can tell Budapest what decision it is to make on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
The Hungarian prime minister noted that until recently he has been trying to avoid spats with Zelensky and ignore his provocative remarks because he wanted to preserve "what can still be preserved" in relations between the two countries. But he had to step away from this rule last weekend after Zelensky had expressed displeasure with Hungary’s referendum on Ukraine’s admission to the EU and stated that Orban "is doing dangerous things."
According to Orban, he "heard a threat in these words." "In international politics, this can be interpreted as a serious threat and no one can threaten Hungarians. We cannot tolerate such threats," he explained. "I had to take this step and get into an open conflict, which can have serious consequences. But I take responsibility for that. The point is that we must speak straight with the Ukrainians and tell them that their actions are not in our interests," he stated.
The Hungarian leader said that he knows that "Zelensky agreed with Brussels that his country would be admitted to the European Union by 2030" and wants the Hungarians to back this decision. Moreover, Zelensky hopes that Hungary’s Brussels-supported opposition party Tisza would form a pro-Ukrainian," he added.
"Let us be honest! Those who are Brussels’s agents are Zelensky’s friends. But we must make it clear that neither Kiev nor Brussels........

I think it has more to do with Zelensky’s ‘people skills’ or lack thereof.

It also has a lot to do with the fact that Zelensky doesn't know Hungarian history and the fact that they wee NEVER on the Ukraine's side; not EVER. So just WHY should they start now?
And the fact that Orban cares about Hungary and Hungarians....FIRST!

Zelensky is a thug using tactics from the little regime he built and enforces with the Azov neo-Nazis he incorporated in the Ukrainian National Guard. He doesn't realize his way of life doesn't play well on the world stage.
I recall his use of an American expat transgender spokesperson (Male to Female) who threatened those in the United States they felt spread 'misinformation' about Ukraine (e.g., Tucker Carlson, maybe?); the person said they would be dealt serious repercussions. The person went on to weirdly describe gnashing teeth and foaming mouths etc. I guess Zelensky escaped his leash. Well, I mean, there ARE connections to the Trump assassination attempt(s?) to the Ukraine.

Correct. 🇭🇺
Orbán is the Hungarian Trump. Or perhaps Trump is the American Orbán. 😄
Orbán‘s job is more difficult than Trump’s because Orbán must also deal with a neo-fascist umbrella organization, the EU. Trump does not have that additional problem.

Orban is one of the few leaders with enough courage to stand against the warmongering globalists.

Thank you. I never remember his name so I can't look him up.

Recently there was some LGBTQ+ promotional stuff going on the Ukraine (wokeness) and looking a that weird person his/its hands, forearms width of shoulders and complete lack of ...anything feminine (IMHO) indicate it's something like a gender neutral or its pronouns are it/they etc. There's something psychopathic about this person - I wonder if this is a neo Nazi. It's the attempt at sinister posturing that has me wondering. At first glance I thought it was a parody mocking Zelensky by putting a blond wig on actor to deliver this rabid screed in a faux movie-style 'trans-menace' voice. I managed to capture the entire transcript of the message at the bottom of the gif below. The video 'start' is marked by a few seconds of the title "Russia Hates The Truth".
https://twitter.com/ducaena/status/1701741396363792650 By the way, that's an American who registered as a Democrat in 2022, according to soem FReeper digs here (69 and 95). As someone else said on this thread - it does sound like they may go after Tucker and using this theatrical trash is likely meant to give cover to the CIA. So it's going to have to be an all out hit-man war on America because the majority of Americans don't want to fund the proxy war and that's what gets you called a 'Putin propagandist' around here. Threatening the citizens of the nation which has contributed most of the money throughout this proxy war is a clear sign they are winning. Supposedly when they win, they'll have even more time on their hands to lord it over us, hunt us down, and tell us what we can say and can't say about them. Maybe Biden will use this threat to push more American taxpayer funds at Zelensky ASAP to "keep Americans safe." Recall the neo Nazis Biden shipped to the US, per journalist Laura Loomer, who got a call from one of them. Whatever - despite this and the other threats by Zelensky, the Ukrainians/NATO handlers DO expect America to keep sending them all our money. Did you see this earlier today? Posted on 9/13/2023, 9:43:02 AM by ChicagoConservative27 "Don’t push Ukrainians into a corner by cutting Western support for the war or else the millions of refugees who are presently “behaved well” in Europe may start to act unpredictably, President Zelensky has said." ransomnote: What I want to know is where are all of FRee Republic's pro Ukrainian zealots? Why aren't they on this thread denouncing threats made on American lives unless and free speech we do what Zelensky tells us? They always claim to be staunch American taxpayers. If they don't come out strong on threats like these, they will lose more of their 'prestige' on FR.

Ukraine returning the stolen Trans-Carpathia would help here. The ukes are very silent about those stolen lands they have when they’re bitching about the stolen Crimea.

Kudos to YOU, for actually knowing the history of that area and you’re quite correct about it all! And that was part of what I hinted at, when stated, earlier, that Zelinsky needs to KNOW Hungarian history!
To: nopardons
Not only the Trans-Carpathia, but the Lwów district and Northern Bukovina. Those that hold stolen property shouldn’t bleat so loud when it’s done to them. They want to pick at old sores and nurse ethnic grievances but they’re guilty themselves.
