Apple reported its highest March-quarter revenue in over two years, reaching $95 billion, as customers rushed to purchase devices ahead of potential new U.S. tariffs. As a result of the ongoing trade war with China, the tech giant announced that the majority of U.S. iPhones would come from India, while iPads and other devices would be imported from Vietnam.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple announced a significant surge in revenue for the March quarter, driven by strong demand for iPhones and other devices as customers moved to make purchases before the introduction of new U.S. tariffs in April. The tech giant reported a five percent increase in sales, reaching $95 billion, surpassing analyst expectations. Net income for the quarter also rose by nearly five percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $24.8 billion.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Shifting to India is just less crappy. Not winning at all. Cook will probably use it as an excuse to import tens of thousands of grifters as H1B “engineers”.
Instead of spying on you it will now generate its own scam calls internally.
I’m waiting for the Anoushka Shankar ringtones.
Raga, Mama, raga, I can’t believe it’s true...
This move by Apple duck-tails the agreement the President got from India of net zero their tariffs, recently, against the U.S. Good business deal for the Prez.
India less crappy? Ha... you obviously haven’t work in IT and had to deal with what passes for Indian “quality”...
I just mean less crappy in that they aren’t as belligerent as China. I’m well aware of their lazy, arrogant, useless, scamming asses.
Ha!
you can’t suddenly shift it to the states and expect the price to be the same.
people said they will never buy chinese, which is easy to do when we’re talking about hats. I’d pay $40 for a Trump hat made in the states instead of chinese made.
but if it comes down to $100 phone vs $1000 phone... just because I will not buy chinese stuff no matter what, does not mean i’ll buy the 1k phone.
other weak willed people will be lured by the price even if it’s crap.
heck, if chinese were able to sell ammos to us and they’re the lowest priced by a large margin. I’d be tempted to buy some (my dream is to kill some ccp soldiers if there is ever a war)
+1
The same India that was first in line to cut a fair trade deal.
Trump wins again!
I’ll have to politely sit this one out, therefore I amposting this dodge anyway. LOLZ.
There are plenty of extremely talented people out there, but sadly there are even more by magnitude that think they can “work” in IT because they are Indian. It’s the same as anywhere, the 80-20 rule.
Hiring managers in IT know this, and it is getting worse.
Just hire the best and most talented professionals in their field that make it through your company’s HR gateways.
FYI, the phrase “Please do the necessary” is kind of like “Bless your heart” in English. Eff ‘em, these Indian Hindu racists are no better than the ChiComs and often go on Christian killing sprees with mob violence.
Wait - I thought Apple went to China because of all the highly skilled, highly educated people there. Definitely not for cheap labor to build their product.
Pretty sure he already has tens of thousands H1B’s here already.
They call it “curry code” for a reason...
Apple phones less than $50 to make and sell for over $1000. They could eat any tariff and not raise prices and still make out like a bandit.
Don’t believe anything the tech companies tell you about tariffs...
In my neck of the woods it’s “please do the needful”. Must be a difference in dialect.
If it must be made overseas, I’d rather it be to a place like the Philippines who don’t have a caste system and don’t export their riffraff and pretend they’re the best and brightest. The Phils have real universities and a mostly English speaking population. Plus they’re also mostly Christian and not a bunch of commies.
