If Repubs, in the Big, Beautiful Bill, pushed for cutting all federal agencies (DOT, DOI, DOL, EPA, etc, etc) and reduce the 3,000,000 federal workforce in half, enough money would be saved to easily shore up Medicaid (taking a talking point from Dems and still reduce federal spending by a massive amount, and get much closer to the initial $2 trillion... which became $1 trillion... now only $160 billion saved by DOGE, and judges, etc, couldn’t be cited as excuses/reasons here at FR why at least $1 trillion in cuts didn’t occur:

You linked to a thread with a FALSE title.
This is such a stupid way of looking at this. The amount saved by DOGE is intangible.
Nope. At the Washington Examiner and on FR that is the actual title.
Now you need to not deflect and show you support conservatism by showing how you desire the cutting of the size and scope of gov’t even more.
MED I CAID is nothing but welfare.
We all paid into MED I CARE — restore the MEDICARE BENEFITS that have been stolen during the biden years.
Up the MEDICARE allowance for doctors and medical facilities.
Restore the benefits like OverTheCounter supplements and other health items.
With all the money being saved from Social Security, seniors need a huge increase.
Boomers are very anti MAGA. Most boomers are full-on communists and spoiled brats.
Medicaid requires a massive transfusion of money - or EMTALA has to be repealed and the right to refuse treatment for nonpayment has to be written into the law.
I don’t really care which it is - but “having it both ways” is destroying the hospital system and everyone will regret it when it’s gone.
Then if $160 billion is actually vastly more than that number signifies in real terms, then 2, 3 or 4 trillion alone is needed at most to fund the federal gov’t, so no need to allow increasing debt to over $50 trillion, right?
Uh, that would be for the worse, not better.
Nothing seems to change. The iceberg is still predicted to be where the ship will hit it. The changing of the captain and boat means nothing. Congress takes DOGE savings and puts it back into the deficit spending.
Sure it’s welfare, so in the BBB.Repubs can have in the bill ending all corporate welfare, takes another talking point away from Dems that Repubs are sold out to corporations as Dems support corporate welfare, that John Stossel a few years back I believe pointed out costs the US far more each year than Medicaid or Food Stamps combined.
I told you that stupid CR you were celebrating was a victory for democrats… nothing about it was a win for responsible governance or fiscal responsibility
Deporting large number of illegals is the best way out of the quagmire imho.
Since when do communists support cutting all federal agencies by half, want to take $160 billion on cuts far closer to at least $1 trillion?
You must use that new math because you sure use Ad Homs like liberals use.
FR does not allow Ad Hominem.
Did you READ the thread AND the comments?
Comment had less than NOTHING at all to do with how I feel about cutting all of the horrendous spending, which I absolutely want done!
Nope. Just tired of gloom and doom boomers trying to get back to the ‘good old days’ of the GOPe acting like good little cheese-eating surrender monkeys.
I know, I know, that was NOT what I was commenting on.
Cut all fed agencies by half in the BBB, reduce federal workforce by 75%.
End all corporate welfare in the BBB.
Have in the BBB a few billion more to enforce e-verify by hiring more agents to enforce it, millions of illegals more will self-deport, saving hundreds of billions each year in tax dollars going to them with Medicare/SS/Medicaid/housing allowances/etc. Factories then all across America have to raise wages to hire Americans, so more tax dollars on the coffers as well due to increased wages
And so much more...
