Welfare fraud under $25,000 in California could be decriminalized due to Senate Bill 560, which was introduced by State Sen. Lola Smallwood-Cuevas (D) in February.

The bill would decriminalize welfare fraud under that amount in the state for administrative errors, Fox News reported on Monday.

According the outlet’s Bill Melugin, “Smallwood-Cuevas represents a large chunk of Los Angeles County, including Mar Vista, West LA, Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, Century City, Playa Vista, and part of downtown LA.,” he wrote in a social media post on Monday:

Well, decriminalizing theft under $1,000 has worked out so well that it’s only logical it will work just as well for welfare fraud. LOL

I sincerely wish California could be separated from the United States.

They are not even trying to hide the fraud anymore.

Heck, the entire California system days is structured to enable fraud and the transfer of taxpayer money to political allies.

Californian: So I have to make sure my retail theft is under $950 and my welfare fraud is under $25,000.

Wish I had stayed in school and learned some math before I turned 16 and quit.

That’s the next step: Persons anywhere in the world may apply for and receive welfare checks and/or food stamps issued by the State of California.

The same state that lets some people steal $950 worth of merchandise with no consequences. The same state which taxes the hell out of honest people who have a legitimate job or business.

Elon wants to fix the problem. Cali dem wants to look the other way and let it continue. How many of her constituents are committing welfare fraud? This is one reason they are mad at Elon. He is taking away their cookie jar.

Just about every normal able-bodied person, would attempt to defraud welfare, if you are not going to be criminally charged, why not cheat and take the free $25,000, millions of people would take advantage.

The retail theft fraud would be miniscule compared to the welfare fraud if this bill becomes law.
