News Central, presented by Sara Sidner, Kate Bolduan, and John Berman, averaged 73,000 viewers in the key demo for the first quarter of 2025, while Morning Joe averaged 64,000.That's insanely low. In it's heyday, FR had over a quarter million viewers on at any given moment.

Maddow has as many as 7-8 viewers at any one time so when it/they/them talks…they listen. Maddow beat out Gumby and Pokey reruns on PBS!

To save time here is the abridged version:
Did MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow get fired from the Network?
No, Rachel Maddow did not get fired from her position at MSNBC. Netizens are concerned for Maddow as MSNBC recently laid off most of her staff. The cuts come as part of a major restructuring within the network.

“I would like at this moment to announce that I will be retiring from this program in two weeks’ time because of poor ratings. Since this show is the only thing I had going for me in my life, I’ve decided to kill myself. I’m going to blow my brains out right on this program a week from today. So tune in next Tuesday. That should give the public relations people a week to promote the show. You ought to get a hell of a rating out of that. 50 share, easy.”

I have not watched news in quite a few years, however with the election of TRUMP I started watching FOX news again. Then I tried, TRIED, MSNBC for a short time. All happy and joyful on FOX but gloom and doom on MSNBC. One thing I did notice, most of the advertisements on FOX were also the same on MSNBC. Most, not all.

From the article: Rachel Maddow, "But in all of the jobs I have had in all of the years I have been alive, there is no colleague for whom I have had more affection and more respect than Joy Reid..."
I don't know what I'm reading there. Is the lesbian saying she'll be lonely?
