The U.S. is not the world’s policeman, nor Israel’s bodyguard, and now is a good time to shed neoconservative fantasies that suggest otherwise.

Iran is being given it’s last chance, and Turkey is no friend to the US. War or not is in Iran’s court, but they better not try to play President Trump.

The government of Iran has directly threatened the United States of America and our citizens almost daily since 1979. They’ve sponsored dozens of terrorist attacks on our troops, shipping in international waters, and threatened a treaty ally with extermination.

Iran has more than earned whatever smack down President Trump decides to lay on them.

I don’t see the USA as Israel’s bodyguard. We are allies.

And Israel, unlike our supposed European allies, pays its share both in blood and treasure. More to the point, they are brilliant and effective warriors, sending back our weapons greatly improved and our common enemies home in body bags.

I view them as an unsinkable super carrier group in a dangerous and important area of the country, coupled with heavy mobile artillery and a couple million marines.

The also have an absolutely corrupt deep state their people fight against, just like us, which makes me like them even more.

This is a fair perspective on the situation. I’m considerably more skeptical of Turkey (and Iran) than the author. But he keeps his arguments between the lines of America’s interests and not flaming Jews as Jews.

This is political. We Americans get to decide these things through our congresscritters. Let the lobbying and argumentation continue to a vote on any particulars, or the judgement of the Trump Administration when in the Executive’s bailiwick.

Sure pal sure. Everyone knows an apologist for Hitler (who declared war on America when he didn't have to, btw) is just the apotheosis of patriotism.

And Pat Buchanan's constant appeasement of Islamic jihadists shows him to be more patriotic than that Thomas Jefferson guy who built a navy to stop them instead of just paying tribute. I just don't know what was the matter with our third President‽ Why didn't Jefferson just do the geo political anilingus toward the jihadists that Pat Buchanan champions?

I guess that Pres. Jefferson was not patriotic or America first in going after the Barbary Pirates. Our third President conducted his imperialist/neo con war because he had (((them))) as advisors.
