That said, Spokeswoman for the US Department of State Tammy Bruce noted that there is "a lot of enthusiasm" following the Paris meeting on the matter

NEW YORK, April 19. /TASS/. US allies in Europe must realize that Washington is not going to waste time on settling the Ukrainian conflict without any visible results, Spokeswoman for the US Department of State Tammy Bruce said.

"I think it's important for the European partners to hear this as well, that we're not going to be doing this for a year. We're not going to be having meetings about meetings. We're not going to be waiting and hoping and having this just be the big effort," she told Fox News.

"We're not going to be leading this effort, if these parties, certainly one of the two parties, will not be cooperating. And I think that our partners in Europe also heard that in Paris, that this is something that everyone has to make work, that there has to be an agreement, that a ceasefire is absolutely necessary," the official added.

That said, Bruce noted that there is "a lot of enthusiasm" following the Paris meeting on the matter.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters in Paris that US President Donald Trump may abandon his efforts to settle the Ukraine crisis if there is no immediate progress. "We’re not going to continue with this endeavor for weeks and months on end," he explained.

Later, the Axios portal said, citing European officials, that Washington’s threats to walk away from the negotiation process on Ukraine are directed against the Kiev regime rather than Moscow.

On April 17 in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron met with Rubio and US special envoy Steven Witkoff. According to the Elysee Palace, these "constructive negotiations" helped to "bring......

I hope we stay in these talks. It’s the only way to keep the eurotrash communists from starting world war 3. Heaven knows they are jonesing for it.
THIS time, they can bail themselves out of it without us.

Yeah, right! Russia invades another country but it would be the fault of the Europeans helping the Ukrainians defend themselves who would be responsible for WWIII. Should we hand Poland and the rest of eastern Europe over to them as well?

The Russians are not going to give Trump and Ukraine 30 days to rearm and train conscripts.

The Russians aren’t going to ‘bite’ on a ceasefire.

A long-term peace plan needs to be put in place.

Ukraine can be like post-WW2 Finland if it acts soon or it can become part of a Soviet Union II if it hangs too tough for too long.

Neither side is innocent, even though the Russians are mostly to blame.

I think Russia going to war was stupid and I suspect Putin would agree.

However, the situation must be resolved with the understanding that the Russian military advantage is increasing.

There was a fatal flaw in these peace negotiations. They didn’t include Russia in the development of them.

We need to figure a way to Piss On Europe's Grave from North America.

Maybe we could Piss on the Canuckistan Nazis and send them to Europe to wring out their clothes.

What does TASS have to do with Rubin’s statements? I find TASS reported more truth than Senile Joe’s MSM.

“There was a fatal flaw in these peace negotiations. They didn’t include Russia in the development of them.”

The US and EU need to work with Ukraine to put a comprehensive written offer on the table for possible Russian acceptance. Russia should be asked to put a comprehensive written offer on the table too so things can be worked out faster.

Ukraine is the party most concerned and they should decide what is to be offered to the Russians as a deal.

The deal need not relinquish any Ukrainian territorial right or claim. The deal need only state where the front lines are and prohibit advances.

The deal should allow plebiscites in coming years so Ukraine might get territory back with much of the Russian money held by the EU to be returned only after plebiscite voting, say at a rate of around two hundred million Euros per square kilometer.

You have it backwards. As always.

It is not Russia which wants Europe. It is Europe (and the US Deep State) which wants Russia but the Russians won't go quietly. And the Europeans are not "helping the Ukrainians defend themselves". The Europeans are using Ukraine as cannon fodder to perpetuate a prolonged war with Russia for the purpose of effecting regime change in Moscow.

Finally, the inhabitants of Donetsk and Lugansk are not asking to be "defended". Rather, they see the current situation as a liberation and have no desire to be ruled by Kiev.

What actually would be the problem, anyway, with Russia, as opposed to the EU, governing Eastern Europe? No such thing as "hate crimes"? No same-sex "marriage"? Freedom to preach the Christian Gospel?

If ANY group is responsible for this mess it is the European leaders of NATO, and the warmongering rinos and democrats, who have wanted a war with Russia since the last world war. While they were happy enough to drag us into Korea and Viet Nam, it was never enough.
Putin is paranoid and doesn’t want a foreign army on his borders, but Europe pushed ahead with threats to bring Ukraine into NATO, even though half that country doesn’t want it and consider themselves to be “Russian”.
And NOW, these same European communists are in talks with Ukraine to put that foreign army IN Ukraine without membership.
Keep in mind, the children of these “leaders” are never the ones to die in their wars. OURS are.
Personally, I don’t care if they bomb each other into another dimension. I’m just glad we have an administration who is trying to keep this from happening.

it’s only a WW if we’re dumb enough to enter it.

And we’re not under Trump.

So let them go nuts.
