From Grok:

- The X post references a criminal referral letter from the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to the Department of Justice (DOJ), but the letter itself does not explicitly label sections as “Exhibit A” or “Exhibit B.”
- Based on the letter’s content, “Exhibit A” likely refers to the power of attorney document signed by Letitia James on August 17, 2021, declaring a Norfolk, Virginia property as her principal residence, despite her primary residence being in New York.
- “Exhibit B” likely refers to the mortgage application for the same Norfolk property, where James and her co-borrower claimed the property as their primary residence to secure favorable loan terms, such as a lower interest rate of 2.7%.
- The letter highlights that claiming a property as a primary residence for mortgage purposes, while not actually residing there, may violate federal fraud statutes, including the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 (12 U.S.C. 4501 et seq.) [Web ID: 2].
- Public records cited in the letter show James earned at least $126,390 in 2011, casting doubt on her financial hardship claim in a separate HAMP application for a Brooklyn property, which may also be part of the broader fraud allegations [Web ID: 0].

She did this a year after starting her mortgage fraud witch hunt against DJT! In her mind Trump and any threat to her fraud was already dead and buried.

- September 21, 2022: Letitia James announced a civil lawsuit against Donald Trump, his three eldest children (Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric), and the Trump Organization, accusing them of engaging in a decade-long scheme of fraudulent business practices. The lawsuit alleged that Trump and his company misrepresented the value of assets, including real estate properties, to secure favorable loans, insurance rates, and tax benefits. Specifically, the suit claimed that Trump inflated the value of properties like his Mar-a-Lago estate and 40 Wall Street to obtain better mortgage terms from lenders, which is a form of mortgage fraud through false financial statements. The lawsuit sought $250 million in penalties and aimed to bar Trump from running businesses in New York.

She prosecuted President Trump claiming he inflated his property values to get bigger mortgages. I’m wondering what her Brooklyn property is assessed at for the purposes of real estate taxes versus the actual appraised value...my guess is the assessed value is probably $1 million less than the appraised value

She isn’t shrugging this off. This is exactly why Trump put her in this position.

Sit back, grab a popcorn and enjoy the show.

The date on the criminal referral is 4/14. I’m sorry if it was posted yesterday or today. I didn’t see it.

She indicted Trump based on alleging that he claimed a higher value for his properties than they were really worth. BS if you ask me.

James is accused of declaring a Virginia property her primary residence. I don't see how it's possible to execute the duties of NY AG and live in VA. Maybe she will say NY lets her work at home wherever that is?
