Pritzker has to bid adieu to Springfield if he's serious about the White House
The Chicago Sun-Times ^ | April 14, 2025 | Andy Shaw

By taking himself out of the running for a third term as governor next year, Pritzker could position himself as a leader with big ideas rather than an official forced to explain why Illinois keeps losing taxpayers and businesses.

"He’s a bold presence in a party that often seems hesitant to wield power as aggressively as the GOP. But his record in Illinois is also a liability. If he runs again, he’ll be forced to defend an ugly reality: Illinois remains a state with some of the highest taxes in the country, a poor business climate, anemic job creation and an ongoing exodus of companies, wealthy residents and middle-class families. That’s not the kind of resume a presidential hopeful wants."

If he loses 50 pounds, he is running. If not…he isn’t going anywhere.

He was Huge.

He stayed at the mansion Bellemeade in Nadhville once. Home of Gen. Harding who by then bred race horses. Man O War was one of his.

They had to build a special sized shower for him and shored up the flooring.

As someone pointed out, being governor has been his first real job, and he hasn’t exactly been a great success at it. He does have a big mouth that spews the leftist talking points that appeal to low-information voters, so he has that going for him. And considering the size of his ambitions, maybe half of his girth can be attributed to a combination of ego and hubris.

My bet is Prickster follows the hallowed Illinois tradition of having their governors graduate from The State House to The Big House.
