ATLANTA - As Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp approaches the end of his second and final term, speculation is mounting over his next political move — with growing talk of a potential U.S. Senate run in 2026.
What we know:
Kemp has not confirmed his plans, but he has also not ruled out the possibility of challenging incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in the next election. When asked recently about his political future, the governor said he was keeping his options open.
A Senate bid would keep Kemp on the national political radar and could set the stage for a high-profile contest in what is expected to be one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country.
Meanwhile, the race to succeed Kemp as governor is already taking shape.

On the Republican side, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has launched his campaign for the GOP nomination, positioning himself as a continuation of the current administration’s priorities.

Hopefully, dirty Kemp knows that the money is no longer there…
Trump needs to have a conversation with him, too. Make him an offer he can’t refuse...
He may wait until Trump is no longer President to run for that seat.
Trump is still ticked off about the election fraud in Georgia and Kemp’s part in it. Chris Carr wasn’t very helpful on the matter either.
However, I’ll take Chris Carr over Keisha Lance Bottoms.

I think the Gretch figured that out.
EC
He’s the best chance we have of winning.
He’ll probably endorse Stacy Adams.
Corrupt RINOs like Kemp, Carr, Raffensberger, Jones, and so many others rely on the fact that the Republicans in the county and legislature will dutifully obey, because “we’re all Republicans….progress”
I don’t think Republican counties and legislators will see the need to obey an absolute Democratic clown like Bottoms. She has opposition on day 1.
However, directly because of kemp, Deal, Carr, Jones, Duncan, Ralston, Miller, and the Economic Developmemt Authority, via northern liberal migration, Georgia is well on its way to becoming a vile shade of purple.
Because we really need more warehouses
This guy Kemp is scum and the enemy.
Kemp is still better than the current two Senators from GA. Most likely, he'll follow Lindsay Graham, a RINO. But he'll vote when Trump needs him on an issue or a potential nominee.
One gets the impression that one out of three Georgia Republican leaders....are compromised (owned) by some lobbyist group.

Ex-mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms out of a Biden job after Trump takes office
pic——White House Public Engagement Advisor Keisha Lance Bottoms speaks a press briefing at the White House on January 13, 2023 in Washington, DC. Bottoms spoke on the President’s upcoming visit to the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Keisha Lance Bottoms clarifies resignation: Atlanta’s former mayor announced she resigned from her position on President Biden’s Export Council on Jan. 4, one day before President Trump claimed she was fired as part of his removal of over 1,000 Biden-era appointees.
Trump announces appointee removals: In a Truth Social post, President Trump stated his administration is removing appointees from the Biden administration, including Chef José Andrés and retired General Mark Milley, as part of his America First agenda.
Bottoms’ career in public service: Before her Export Council role, Bottoms served as Atlanta’s mayor, head of the Biden White House Office of Public Engagement, and a senior advisor for Biden’s reelection campaign, among other significant positions.
President Donald Trump announced Tuesday morning on Truth Social that he was removing over 1,000 presidential appointees made by the previous administration. “My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump wrote.
However, Bottoms stated on Instagram that she had already resigned before Trump’s announcement. “A day late and a dollar short…. My resignation from the President’s Export Council was submitted January 4, effective yesterday. You can’t fire someone who has already resigned,” Bottoms wrote.
Trump also removed other figures, including Chef José Andrés from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition; retired General Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; and former State Department official Brian Hook from the board of the Wilson Center. It is common for a new administration to replace appointees from a previous administration. For example, President Joe Biden dismissed multiple Trump hires after taking office in 2021.
Bottoms career before the White House: Before her political career, Bottoms worked as a prosecutor and represented children in juvenile court. In 2002, she became a magistrate judge in Atlanta. She was elected as a Fulton County Superior Court judge in 2008 and served as an Atlanta City Council member from 2010 to 2018.
In 2020, Bottoms reportedly declined a role in Biden’s cabinet and was at one point considered a potential vice-presidential running mate. In June 2022, it was announced that Bottoms would lead the White House Office of Public Engagement, playing a pivotal role in Biden’s reelection bid. She officially joined his campaign in June 2024. Bottoms was appointed to Biden’s Export Council in July 2023, which serves as the principal national advisory committee on international trade.
Correct. I don't like kemp and I don't trust him as far as I could throw him, but he's probably the only hope of beating "Jack Assoff" -
