State Authority Over Elections: The original text of the Constitution, specifically Article I, grants states the authority to regulate the "Times, Places and Manner" of elections. This means that states have significant control over how elections are conducted, including voter registration processes and voting procedures.

Elections Clause: The Elections Clause (Article I, Section 4) explicitly states that Congress has the power to make regulations concerning federal elections. This clause allows Congress to intervene and set standards for elections if necessary, thereby establishing a dual responsibility where both state and federal governments play roles in election administration.

The problem is two-fold IMHO. First, Congress regardless of who is in control, has not passed laws that assure uniform, legal and fair federal elections. Second, for non-federal elections, states that want to maintain the status-quo (read rules that allow cheating), will point to the Constitution and not allow anything to change their voting practices and control.

IMHO - we need a Constitutional amendment that sets a National Voting Standard. It's unlikely that states, particularly blue states, would ratify such an amendment because it would dilute their power and ability to cheat.

I saw the photos of them keeping poll watchers out of the rooms…in direct violation of the law. They also had a huge dump of ballots at 3 am just like Biden. The R was ahead until that dump, then the D went ahead and stayed ahead.
