Trump-backed bill to stop 'rogue' judges passes House

The House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday to limit federal district judges' ability to affect Trump administration policies on a national scale.

The No Rogue Rulings Act, led by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., passed the House and limits district courts' power to issue U.S.-wide injunctions, instead forcing them to focus their scope on the parties directly affected in most cases.

All but one Republican lawmaker voted for the bill, which passed 219 to 213. No Democrats voted in favor. The Trump administration has faced more than 15 nationwide injunctions since the Republican commander-in-chief took office, targeting a wide range of President Donald Trump's policies, from birthright citizenship reform to anti-diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts.

Issa himself was confident the bill would pass, telling Fox News Digital on Tuesday morning, "We've got the votes."

The DC district needs to be eliminated, because the prospect of "power couples" makes it inevitable that the judge has an inherent conflict of interest. The alternative is to outlaw "power couples", but that's unlikely and most likely unenforceable.

And before any lawyer on this forum complains about my statement and wants to offer contrary opinions, please produce some evidence that "lawyer ethics" is like "normal people ethics."

Lawyer ethics might be acceptable to you if you are a Swamp Creature living in the middle of the Swamp and everybody you know is a Swamp Creature, but outside the Beltway, it looks dirty and corrupt. Now why does it "look" dirty?

Mike Turner is still fuming about being removed as chair of the House Intel Committee. He is also a voice for the military/industrial complex (not that the MIC has an interest in this bill).

Irrelevant if it doesn’t pass the Senate.

Let’s imagine that it eventually makes it into statue law. All that will happen is that “some judge” will rule it un-Constitutional. The Supremes will agree because they will never approve anything that limits the power of the judiciary. Checks and balances? Not so much.

“(not that the MIC has an interest in this bill).”

I predict they will have their robots in the Senate kill it.

I've tried to connect the MIC and this bill but have come up empty.

Have you made a connection? I think there is one, but I just can't find it.

The “Global” NWO/MIC corporations and CIA are behind ALL of the opposition against Trump including these judges. They are still operating in the background no matter who Trump appointed.

And they like to play good cop/bad cop with theater to keep things under control and headed in the right direction by hamstringing or disrupting Trump’s power on everything they can related or not. So this time it is the House’s turn to play good cop, and I predict the Senate will play bad cop and either kill it, or delay it as long as possible.

I suppose at some point I should make a family tree of the true Global power structure so that it is easier to understand how this works and why it is so predictable most of the time.

But in the bigger picture I’m not sure folks are considering the double edged sword here. Something absolutely needs to be done about these crooked judges. But in turn our own conservative values in the past have been saved at the last minute by the very same protocol we are wanting be be rid of here. It is a catch 22 situation that will come into play in the future. But at this point in time something needs to be done for sure...

That would be rich as it is specifically listed in the constitution as a power of congress. Some random Obama judge would very well do it, but not even ACB is dumb enough to try to put that in a supreme court decision.
